Esther and Todd's wedding was a 1960s inspired celebration held in New Zealand. Being in nature was also important to both of them so they held their wedding at Port Waikato School Camp, an outdoor education camp established in 1928. The site had everything they needed including a big grassy square flanked by long dormitories (ample accommodation!) a dining hall, selection of cabins, and a stunning outdoor chapel where they held their ceremony.Read more...

Lisa and James had a super intimate, really casual wedding in Dublin. They planned it in just one week and their focus was only on the things that really mattered to them - getting married and celebrating with their loved ones. They didn't buy into the wedding industry machine, the bride didn't even wear a wedding dress, and they only spent €1000!Read more...

Sorcha and John met when the bride was doing doing drinks promotions at a rock and metal bar in Dublin. "I noticed this 6 ft 7 gothic man with long black hair", she said. "He was hard to miss! He approached me and then drank a bunch of the test tube shots that I had, which had lots of caffeine in them. I found out afterwards that he’s allergic to caffeine and was violently ill afterwards! A few months later, our paths crossed again in the same bar. We got a chance to talk properly and realised we had everything in common. He asked me out to dinner and our gothic romance took flight."Read more...

Nina and Zakk were legally married in Sweden, where the bride is from and the groom works as a tattoo artist, but also wanted to have a celebration in the UK, where the groom grew up. Despite living in Sweden for the last few years Zakk has a lot of family and friends in the UK so having a second celebration on Zakk's parents' property made a lot of sense. The location was a sprawling, beautifully maintained stretch of land that boasts a duck pond, tree house and playground - perfect!Read more...

Heather and Riley are met in Afghanistan in 2013 when they were both deployed to Kandahar from their respective countries (Riley from Australia and Heather from the US). At the time of their wedding Riley was still deployed in Iraq and flew out to Vegas for their ceremony! He then had to return to Iraq immediately after their honeymoon, just two weeks later. They wanted their wedding to be a bit of old Hollywood glam mixed with some of their favourite things including tacos, Harley Quinn, the Joker, Batman and tattoos!Read more...

Steph and Dan wanted their wedding to be a lovely relaxed day turning into a big kick-ass party later on! They broke lots of traditions (no cake cutting or first dance) and made choices to reflect their feminist outlook. They included speeches from the bride, mother of the groom and the bridesmaids, got ready together in their own apartment, had their first look together at home and walked down the aisle together. Instead of their first dance, had a Jagerbomb toast to open up the dance floor!. With 115 guests, it was the biggest round they'd ever bought!Read more...

Getting married in December with a £6000 budget, Nic and Loz decided Sin City was the perfect spot for them.
