Lisa and Jemma met in London, almost nine years ago when Lisa was a personal trainer. Four years later they were training for their first marathon together - a fundraiser for pancreatic cancer, which Jemma lost her father to that year. Running helped her cope, and it soon became their favourite thing to do together, completely occupying their weekends with training, followed by several G&Ts and a good pie. They wanted their wedding to reflect all these things that they love; running, London, pie, Haribo and gorgeous friends.

Krysia and Robbie met at the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp in Adelaide. When they came to marry, a whole decade later, they decided to incorporate this love of music into the celebration. They always wanted the day to reflect their laid back nature. It was also vital to them to use their wedding to support a charity they believe in, and female run businesses. They had a vegan menu catered by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and only hired female vendors!

The format of Jess and Tim's wedding was pretty unusual, but it ended up really working for them. Due to some restrictions they were unaware of when they booked their date, they weren't able to have their ceremony on the day they'd planned for, so ended up having a small intimate ceremony in February, followed by their big reception in March. Luckily they loved doing it this way around, and now have two wedding anniversaries to celebrate (bonus!)

Twin Lens Weddings

August 17, 2017

Meghan and Brendan met through their love of tattoos: Brendan was Meghan's tattooer! They really wanted their wedding day to feel like them; alternative in style but also to reflect their kind, soft and gentle sides. They described their theme as vintage with a bit of steampunk and, for décor, they incorporated different metals, lanterns, marquee letters and piping mixed with lace, tulle and soft flowers. It was soft, but edgy. Just like them!
