Ella and Michael's wedding is the wedding of plant lovers' dreams. Their venue was the Glasshaus, a plant nursery based in Melbourne, and their styling was simple, green and nerdy - in the most breathtaking way! It's so beautiful I'd even brave the 42°C heat (yep, celsius, you read that right; Ella and Michael got married on the hottest day of the year) to be there, and that's coming from a girl who complains at 22 degrees. But enough about me - let's talk about this STUNNER of a big day, shall we?

Catherine met Thomas at an alternative music festival called DV8 in York. Like something out of a fairy tale, Thomas, who's band were playing, spotted Catherine across a crowded room while he was playing from the stage. After his set he went over to talk to her. Although they didn't see each other again for 12 months, they reconnected exactly a year later at the same festival and started their relationship.

If you're dreaming of pumpkin spice and snuggly knits then you are going to adore Kristen and Lloyd's wedding. Almost all of their reception decor was thrifted, bought online and/ or put together by the couple themselves. They hand-painted a globe to use as their guest book (LOVE THIS!) and made magnolia leaf place cards as well as gold spray-painted dinosaur toys for some added fun and a nod to the groom's love of Jurassic Park!

Tiago and Ines can thank a certain Mr Zuckerberg for their romance - like many modern love stories, they met on Facebook and the rest, as they say, is history! They’ve never felt particularly enamoured with traditional weddings - feeling that society can often bottleneck you into getting married, so an elopement was the perfect way for them to relieve themselves of all the external pressures that having a traditional wedding can sometimes bring.

I've never been to a Jewish wedding, but celebrations like Shira and Irzik's make me hope I can one day. Look at all that joy! The couple were married in November (on the bride's birthday!) in Old Jaffa, Israel. Their wedding theme was mostly influenced by the bride's dress, made by Israeli brand Shimka. The vintage inspired cut and fabrics sent their wedding in a rustic yet elegant direction.

Charlie and Duncan were lucky enough to score a gem of a venue for their wedding - Outfields Farm in Bedfordshire. Usually used for holiday accommodation, they had their reception in the barn usually used as a bunk room, and the whole bridal party were able to take over the holiday cottages adjacent for the whole weekend. Many of their other guests camped on site too. As it wasn’t an advertised wedding venue, happening to belong to Charlie’s bridesman’s parents, they’re convinced they managed to achieve what they wanted from their big day for a third of the price of hosting it in a manor house or country club!

Isabelle and Olivier were married in Québec, Canada. Although barn weddings are now seen as pretty mainstream, and this couple are anything but, the bride had dreamt of being married in a big beautiful barn ever since she was a child... so that's exactly what they did! They still wanted to put their own spin on the day though (of course!) so they went down the hyper colourful, Mexican vibe for their theme.
