Fashion-Forward Festival Wedding with an Alexander McQueen Inspired Dress

January 25, 2019

Let's just start by talking about how OBSESSED I am with Hannah's bridal outfit. Inspired by queen of frills Molly Goddard and king of style Alexander McQueen, her dress was made by her super talented friend Nadia Tahari. There was a running theme for Hannah and Sam's wedding - to create something really relaxed and personal day which involved all of their family and friends. It's safe to say they smashed it.

Madeline Barr

January 21, 2019

I don't know about you, but for me one of the greatest things about stalking people on the internet is when they get married and I can all fall in love with them a little bit more! I've been virtually following Kaylah, aka The Dainty Squid, online for years (we share an obvious mutual affinity with colourful hair!) so when I saw her June wedding to long-term partner Jeff I was thrilled. I poured over their beautiful images for what felt like hours, soaking up every last beautiful drop. So, when their photographer Madeline Barr submitted them for us to publish I obviously had to say yes, and did so in about 5 seconds flat.

Marie-Luise Weddings

January 20, 2019

Kristen and Pete were married at Panama Dining Room in Fitzroy, Victoria. Their theme was very much influenced by their venue, and the bride's love of all things vintage. "The wedding was a goth/ tropical/ Art Deco in black and white mash-up," began the bride . "Think Flying Down to Rio meets The Addams Family. We also decided we wanted everyone to wear a hat, as Pete is known for always wearing one."

January 19, 2019

Adam and Katie met when Katie’s friend swiped right for him on her behalf on Tinder. “I turned up to our first date wearing pom-pom shoes, a pineapple shaped handbag and a striped pinafore dress - I wanted to be clear on what he was letting himself in for!” laughed Katie. When it came to planning their wedding, they used just one form of inspiration; Rock n Roll Bride magazine, of course!

When a bride describes the inspiration for the wedding as "a fun episode of Poirot with lots of tiny animals", you KNOW it's going to be an alternative wedding, and an amazing day! Frankie and Chris (or Jaffa as most people call him) got married on 5th October 2018 at The Brooklands Museum in Surrey. It was the home of an old Motorsports racetrack but is now a museum for vintage vehicles - cars, planes and buses.

Matt Parry

January 10, 2019

Lottie and Dave were married at the Union Club in Soho, London. As they planned everything from Hong Kong, where they now live, they didn't see it until two days before the wedding but it ended up being completely perfect for what they wanted. They didn’t want a specific theme, just for it to feel like them. That meant photos in guitar shops, Chinese Lucky Cats, the men in kilts, NOLA jazz and a live jam session.

Wild Things Wed

January 7, 2019

The very best thing about running Rock n Roll Bride is the HUGE variety of wedding themes and styles that we see. People often ask me if I ever get bored at looking at or talking about weddings and my answer is always the same - how the hell could I get bored when I see such creativity and variety every day!? Ciara and Rowen's wedding falls firmly into the creativity camp. They took a classic vintage theme and added some David Lynch references, turning what could have been quite a traditional wedding on it's head.

Floral Rainbow Folk Festival Wedding

Emma Stoner

January 6, 2019

The wedding theme for Catherine and Tom's summer celebration was simply all their favourite things coming together into a colourful mish-mash. This translated to colourful flowers, homemade cakes, high street outfits and a fun-filled barn reception. They tied up lots of greenery from the woods with ribbons along one wall of the space and because the barn didn’t have lighting, they strung up loads of festoon and fairy lights for the evening.

Love. Family. Keeping things Simple. These were the three key things Vanessa and Clotilde wanted to focus on for their July wedding.
