Arlene and Lee love the fifties aesthetic, rockabilly and hot rods. So, when it came to setting a theme for their summer wedding, there was no question what it would be! They chose Tomlinson's Farm Shop and Camping field for both the ceremony and and reception. Although they were the first wedding that had ever been held there, they knew it was perfect for their vision as soon as they visited. They loved the views and the owners were so accommodating - they even supplied the haybales.

Miss Whittington’s

March 27, 2020

With a budget of just £4000, Kirsty and Ben knew their wedding plans had to be different to the majority of the weddings that Ben, a musician in a function band, sees day in day out. They wanted to have their day in a beautiful setting, but kept their guest list small to limit the expense. The wedding was held on a Thursday and they had just 13 guests at the reception, and had everyone sat around one big table for the meal, just like they were hosting a family meal at home.

Allie and Brian describe their first moments of falling in love as ‘like the same existential self-discovery that so many people waxed lyrical about in the late ’60’s and early 70s’. So, coupled with their love of music from the same era (cosily nestled between the folk and Rock n Roll genres), they used this as a starting point for the shaping their wedding around that same kind of ‘groovy, grounding energy.’

By Southern standards, Abby and Evan’s wedding was out of the box. But by New York standards, their new adopted home, it was quite traditional, and they loved this about their day. “We wanted to create a wedding that merged our traditional Southern upbringing and our urban and modern New York life. We loved that our guests were able to experience parts of our story and personalities that they may not get to see every day, or haven’t seen in their experience with us.”

After 17 years together, Chris and Sammy made sure that when they did finally decide to tie the knot, they were going to do things their way! The main inspiration for their day was how they didn’t want their guests to feel constrained by convention or pressured to spend lots of money coming to their wedding, so ‘come as you are’ was an overriding thought. After that, they focused on a colourful festival vibe - they used to go to the Big Chill Festival when it was still running so they wanted their wedding to capture the spirit and feeling of the fond memories they have from there.

Elemental

March 4, 2020

They chose Venachar Lochside as the location for their stunning October wedding and Mazz and Alex made all their decisions for the day based on what did or did not spark joy. The bride wore a full purple/ dusky rose ensemble - from her Rosie Red Corsetry dress, painted shoes (which she did herself!) and even her freshly dyed hair. The flowers were a mix of purple and red, to compliment Alex' tartan, and they had pumpkins all over the place to reflect the season.
