Jess works for a fashion company and was inspired by one of the store’s props for her October wedding to Dustin. It was a beautiful dried flower arrangement, which as luck would have it, ended up in a sample sale after the season was over, so she snapped it up! They used it to build the altar decor for their ceremony. and from there, the muted pastel tones paired with copper metal inspired an ‘optimistic autumnal’ theme for the rest of the day.

February 3, 2020

Lucie and Tommy's London wedding was inspired by the bride's love of pink, their mutual appreciation for the tropical aesthetic and the 1950s, and London, where the day took place. They served their favourite junk food (burgers and Domino's pizza!) and had one hell of a party!

Christopher and Emily reflected on their own likes, interests and things they have in common to draw inspiration for their October 2018 wedding. Their vision for the day was dark, moody and whimsical, with nods to Halloween since their wedding date was October 13th. They planned the whole day themselves, and wanted it to be a true reflection of their style and personalities, focusing on themselves rather that what was trending online, and didn’t listen to other people’s opinions on what a wedding should, or should not, include.

Amy and Darren used traditional weddings they’d been to together to influence what they didn’t want from their own big day! Instead, they wanted their wedding to be fun and to feel like one big party. As they’re both big music lovers, they focused on their shared interest and the bands they’d seen together to theme the decor. Both big music fans, Broden and Marnie met at a Jezabels gig in Brisbane. They bonded quickly, geeking out over their mutual music taste, and after exchanging thousands of messaged post-gig, they became a couple. They didn't officially get engaged in the traditional sense. They were apart for a few months (Marnie in London and Broden in Australia) and one night during a marathon five-hour Skype call they just kind of mutually decided that they should get married. Instead of an engagement ring for either of them, they got matching mallard duck tattoos on their chests.
