As parents themselves, Arron and Casey based their wedding around how they felt when they took their kids to other peoples weddings. “I wanted everyone to feel comfortable,” the bride explained. “It didn’t matter to us if children were running around crazy, in fact we put everything into making it the sort of atmosphere that our friends and family would want to bring their children along to.”

Hannah and Bob’s love story is particularly sweet. “One of our mutual friends hosted a barbecue that we both went to,” Hannah began. “My son (who was dressed as Jack Sparrow and behaving like a pirate!) took a shine to Bob and spend most of the day playing with him, leaping on him and calling him ‘Mr Poopypants’. I couldn't help but fall for the handsome giant who clicked so well with the most important person in my life!”

Having a relaxed atmosphere at their February 29th wedding was one of the most important factors for Samantha and Jon. They also wanted to play homage to a couple of their favourite TV shows. Their tables names were F.R.I.E.N.D.S themed, each table named after one of the characters with a quote from the show to make people laugh and Samantha walked down the aisle to a slowed down cover of the theme. The groomsmen's attire was inspired by Peaky Blinders, complete with flat caps!

Becki and Mark thought long and hard about what they wanted from their wedding day - they didn’t want to include traditions for traditions sake, and tried to include as many of their friends and family as possible, both in the preparations and in getting involved on the day. They wanted it to feel a bit quirky, homegrown and to be as eco-friendly as possible, “We wanted the day to be as enjoyable, informal and relaxing for our guests as possible,” explained the bride. “We’ve had some great feedback on that front, which was lovely to hear!”

As Hilary and Ronnie both work in TV production, it makes perfect sense that their wedding was inspired by one of their favourite shows. “I know 1920s themed weddings are really popular, but we were keen to avoid the ‘Gatsby’ look,” explained Hilary. “I really studied the set design on Peaky Blinders to get a rustic 1920s vintage look with the over the top glitz. We also really wanted our guests to have fun with costumes since we were getting married so close to Halloween, which is our favourite holiday."

Elizabeth and Nicholas embraced their wedding being just days after Halloween, on November 3rd, by leaning into a spooky theme. They had a super intimate ceremony with just 10 guests on the stairs of the Dane Estate just outside of Boston, followed by a reception with under 100 guests, Elizabeth wore her mother's wedding gown which her mum altered into a tea length dress that was more her style. When the bride works in events, you KNOW her wedding is going to be flawlessly put together. Akilah was adamant she didn't want a themed day ("even the word theme perturbs us a little!" she said) but she and Richard were naturally drawn to things that worked together, which was only solidified when they found their venue, The Barn at Bury Court in Farnham. They incorporated elements like candle and lots of flowers which created a low key, yet perfectly cohesive day,

Jonali wore her mother's wedding from from 1989 (with a few minor alterations) when she married Michael in September last year. She wanted to play homage to her mother while still making her look her own so she had the sleeves and a bow on the butt (so 80s!) removed which she then used to wrap around her handmade brooch bouquet. Other than that, their main inspo for the day was their venue, Hammond Castle, and wanting to have a dark, 'til death' vibe.
