The work of South African wedding photographer Jacki Bruniquel never fails to blow me away. The way she captures things is so unique and wonderful, I love looking at weddings through her eyes. So I was thrilled when Robin and Tamarin's gorgeous day landed in my inbox. Not only did Jacki's beautiful photographs make my heart go a-flutter, but the wedding itself is too gorgeous for words! If you're looking for some really organic and nature-inspired wedding ideas then this one is for you...

Sarah Janes

February 27, 2014

When my favourite vintage wedding dress shop launched their own, self designed, collection based on vintage styles (but able to be sized up to a Uk size 22!) I was super excited to be able to host an exclusive competition for one of my readers to win one. Alongside Fur Coat No Knickers founders and designers Emma and Laura, I read every single entry, eventually picking the gorgeous Diana as our winner. Her story touched our hearts and we were all so honoured to be able to fulfil her dream to feel beautiful on her wedding day.

Assassynation

February 18, 2014

Sara and Dave were married in November. They had been together for 14 years and have 5 children so having a wedding had never really taken priority, but after visiting the amazing Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza Wedding Show in Birmingham, that all changed! "We met when I visited the local tattoo studio where Dave worked", began the bride. "We got chatting and basically things progressed pretty quickly. We both shared similar interests including, of course, tattoos and body piercing. We definitely live life to the full and how we want to. We have 5 super kids, 3 boys and 2 girls. Again they are very original in their own ways and are certainly free spirited."

Katherine Mager

February 17, 2014

With the bride wearing vintage, the reception at Rich's grandmother's home, and music playing a huge part, this July wedding has all the makings of the perfect Rock n Roll celebration. The day was also a real DIY effort, with everyone pitching in to make it perfect. A friend of the bride made her flower crown, all the flowers for the day were grown by friends and family and the stationery was made by the bride's brother. The cakes were brought by the guests. They had a 'bake-off' competition and the everyone won comedy prizes!

Zaira and Vinicio's wedding took place in Italy during September. The theme was fashion and music, things they both love, and the atmosphere was laid back and fun. They kept thing casual with no dress code, live music playing constantly and the free-flowing alcohol! "Just be yourself", Zaira advises future brides and grooms. "We loved the theme of our wedding because it was 'us'! We wanted the day to be a combination of both our styles in everyday life."

Viva Wedding

February 11, 2014

I've seen a lot of festival inspired weddings in my time, but I think it's safe to say that none of them have been as so naturally cool as this one! Not only do Charlie and Kane both ooze awesome, but their dinner set up has to be one of the most beautiful ever. At their reception site, a field behind the bride's parent's house, they had a Bedouin tent and one huge, long table for their 150 guests to eat at. Thank goodness it didn't rain!

Daffodil Waves

February 10, 2014

Steven and Beth were married at Penarth Fawr Medieval Hall in June. Their reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of Gorwel Cottage, a holiday rental with sea views over Cardigan Bay and Pwllheli harbour. They didn't have a huge budget and so they homemade as much as they could including the flowers and stationery. They also had an afternoon tea and evening BBQ as their food which was a lot cheaper than many of the other options that they looked at.
