Stonehenge, the prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, had always fascinated Shawna and Kevin. They flew over from the US to marry there. "It is nearly impossible to describe how it felt to walk among stones that have stood there for millennia", Shawna wrote. "They have seen empires collapse, civilizations come and go, and yet, there they stand. And while they are not as perfectly placed as they once were thousands of years ago, they are still there and will be for a long time to come. We were, and are, in awe."

I'm the one who'll say hello to the feline in the room before the person I'm actually there to see... So you can imagine my elation when Anita and Paul's cat/ music themed wedding landed in my inbox! These guys went all out, even so far as the bride and her bridesmaid's carrying stuffed cat toys instead of bouquets! And yes, the bride did throw her 'bouquet' at the end of the night. Oh my fluffy goodness...

They didn't have a formal reception but just partied out and around Freemont Street.

Their whole wedding was bright and colourful! From their flowers to the bridesmaid's dresses (all from David's Bridal) and shoes, this was an awesomely bright love-fest!

They were married on the beach at El Pez Tulum, a boutique ocean-front hotel, in Mexico. KO and Bre wanted their wedding to be a beachy pin up fairytale wedding and I think they achieved that wonderfully! The bride wore a vintage dress from the 1950s which she customised and had the skirt redesigned by Georgannette Chatterley. Her birdcage veil was also homemade.

From the bride in a denim jacket with a custom patchwork back and Dr Marten boots, the skinhead groom in a 3-piece tartan suit, and their kids rocking mohawks, it really doesn't get more authentic than this! Oh and Kat found her dress on eBay - in her exact size - for £100!

Jo and Tony were married by a small lake on a friend's property in Denmark, on the south coast of Western Australia. The bride wore a dress from an op shop (she actually only decided the morning of the wedding what she would be wearing, after several changes of clothes!) and clear wellington boots! Tony wore an outfit also put together that morning from things he already owned or could borrow from friends. As you can probably tell this was the lowest of low key weddings!

Ellen and Rory were married at Cottiers, a bar, restaurant and theatre venue in the West End of Glasgow. Their day had a bit of a Mexican fiesta feel with the oilcloths and paper banners from Viva la Frida. They also had hand stitched bunting and dried chillis hanging from the ceiling! Most of all though they just wanted a fun day to celebrate with their friends and family.
