Emily and Glenn were married at the bride's childhood home. She wore her grandmother's wedding dress and they wanted to make sure everything they did minimised waste. "Our wedding inspiration was to use second-hand, borrowed, vintage and thrift store finds", Emily explained, "We really focused on re-purposing things for the day. This meant incorporating vintage furniture as seating and using items my father had collected over the last 30 years as décor. Everything was DIY but since we did not want to buy anything new we stayed away from crafting and mostly decorated with old lanterns and vintage furniture. We also borrowed a lot of stuff from friends and family so that we didn't have to buy brand new things."

Johnny and Michelle wanted a colourful, funky and fun wedding. "We wanted the environment and décor to be a visual representation of our personalities", said the bride. "This led us in a lot of different directions that included things like bright colours and watercolour cakes. We also had a bit of southwestern influence from the groom and bohemian style from the bride. It was great to see all these different ideas come together to form a single cohesive look for the wedding!"

Who says only the bride can wear white? I think this all-white bridal party proves that isn't the case! Don't they all look FANTASTIC!? They styled the day in a way that truly reflected them which meant pineapples, flamingos and fireworks! They day was also held at a friend's house on the Scottish borders.

Oh
Danni and Ben, your wedding gives me LIFE. I am so excited to share it on the blog today. This gorgeous heavily-tattooed pair were hitched in Maidstone, at a venue called Kent Life. "Our wedding theme was a bit of a mixture of 1950s, rural farm life and a tea party!" said Danni. "We love the 1950s anyway, I have a huge collection of dresses already and we just love the music and the dancing. I really love that our wedding was personal to us and wasn't generic."

Chris and Jen wanted a bohemian, outdoor wedding inspired by their love of festivals and each other. "We're lucky to be able to have a pretty bohemian lifestyle", the bride said. "We like to travel and we like to let our hair down at festivals. Many of our friends come from theses and other creative pools. Chris has African roots and we both wanted to acknowledge this in the symbolism and ceremony of our day. So I guess our theme was... us?"

Lulu and Alex's June wedding was held at The Historic Overlook House in Portland. Their wedding theme was based on a sentence that they came up with on early in the planning process. "Science, Stars, and everything we love", Lula said, "and we only picked things we really loved. We obviously had our favourite colours but also dinosaurs riding pine cones, temporary star tattoos (our son loves temporary tattoos), food from our favourite restaurant, Erlenmeyer flasks, wood tables and chairs, paper crafts, mercury glass, and all the weird beautiful flowers and eucalyptus I could have asked for."
