What have I been up to since we last spoke? Er, quite a lot actually! Last Thursday I was in Brighton visiting my friends at Choccywoccydoodah. They make the most epic wedding cakes and I was there to take part in their first ever Witches Kitchen class. Upstairs in their brand new shop, nestled within the South Lanes, we got to decorate our own ChoccyWoccy creations. I opted for a white chocolate skull (I mean, how could I resist?) and it was surprisingly awesome fun! I went with my sister and we had the best time eating our body weight in sweets, getting our faces painted and drooling (not literally!) over the amazing cakes decorating the space. The Witches Kitchen would make an AMAZING hen do idea, but you can also hire their Empire Room for two hours worth of ALL YOU CAN EAT chocolate. Oh baby! Just make sure you wear trousers with a forgiving waistband.

October is proving to be one of my busiest months EVER! On Tuesday The Blogcademy announced it's 2015 dates as well as a Level 2 workshop (YAY!) and I did some filming in my house for something else we're launching in a few weeks time (I'm even more excited about this one and I think you will be too). Ahh it sure is good to be back in my own space, especially as while I was away Gareth replaced ALL THE CARPET in our house! It might sound like a weird thing to be excited about, but when we moved in (over seven years ago!) it was something we immediately wanted to change but it was the one thing we never got around to. It's such a big job we kept making excuses and putting it off.

I've spent the past seven days in New York and I've been having the best time! After teaching over the weekend, Shauna had to head to Palm Springs for a design retreat, so Gala and I have been exploring the city as a terrible twosome all week. It's been pretty rad although we've missed our third!

This update comes to you from one of my favourite places in the whole wide world, New York City! I'm currently sat in Gala's beautiful apartment, sipping PG Tips and watching Dolly snoozing on my bed. Hank got in with me last night (he was SO FUNNY, trying to be all cute and sneaky, although when you're a 60lb pitbull there's nothing sneaky about you!) but when I woke up this morning, Dolly was spooning me. Oh puppies.

I've been out of the office ALL WEEK, which is pretty nuts considering I have approximately 30 blog posts and a whole damn magazine to write before I go to New York for the next round of Blogcademy workshops NEXT WEDNESDAY. Good god Father Time, would you just slow down already?! Last Friday Gareth and I hotfooted it down to the Giraffe Media offices in Taunton to start planning the first issue of the brand new magazine with my managing editor, Jade. She is the editor of Wedding Ideas magazine and really knows her stuff, so having her on my team is VERY exciting indeed!

I've spent the past couple of weeks in London, Berlin and Amsterdam, teaching Blogcademy workshops and exploring everything these wonderful places have to offer. It has been a pretty crazy time including two workshops in London, followed by our first mixer event, a class in Berlin, another in Amsterdam - oh and a couple of photo shoots thrown in for good measure!

Hello from Holland! After the most amazing few days in Berlin, we touched down in Amsterdam yesterday afternoon. So far we've really only had time to grab some supplies from the supermarket and catch up on some work (oh the glamour!) but I am beyond excited to explore the city today and tomorrow. Then, over the weekend we do our final European Blogcademy workshop of the year!

Bright and early Tuesday morning, Gala and Shauna arrived in the UK. Since then we've been keeping things relatively low key, spending most of our time here, drinking tea and watching Paris Hilton's British Best Friend (don't ask!) The the real madness starts tomorrow and doesn't stop until the first week of August!

Two very exciting things happened this week. On Wednesday my best friend from Uni came to stay. I haven't seen her in SO LONG (like, a criminally long time) and it was bloody amazing to hang out. You know those friends who even if you don't see each other for ages when you finally do it's like no time has past? That's exactly what it's like with Carly. I'm so happy to have her in my life. We drank cocktails, went shopping, we played The Logo Board Game (nerd and proud!) ... But the most exciting thing was that she asked me to be her bridesmaid!! Can you believe I've never been one before? Ahh double excitement!

This week I did my first solo livestream, was interviewed by BBC online for a feature on blogging and chatted to Anne Diamond on BBC Radio Berkshire! Phew! Other than that I've really just been gearing up to hit the road with The Blogcademy again this month. Our first stop off is London (yay!) for two workshops and our mixer event before we head over to Europe to do workshops in Berlin and Amsterdam. It's all go, go, go as usual and I really couldn't be happier. In fact I feel so incredibly lucky that this is my life right now. OH! And happy forth of July to my American readers for tomorrow. I was so excited to speak at Cosmopolitan's Superblogger's Masterclass on Monday, especially as Gareth and Lisa were coming along too. It's so much more fun when you rock up with an entourage! I jest of course, but Lisa did bring her camera with her and before jumping onto the stage we had a play with coloured gels and in-camera double exposures.

It's so good to be home! Of course I've come back to a messy house, a terrifyingly long to do list, and a huge pile of dirty laundry, but it feels GOOD. My trip to Canada was amazing, we had a blast, but is sure is nice to be back in familiar surroundings. AND THOSE KITTIES OF MINE, oh I swear they got even more gorgeous while I was away.
