Let me introduce you to WristieLove, an online store selling beautiful organic, vintage or repurposed jewellery pieces that have that mix of intrigue and curious design down to a tee. Owner Sana describes her little shop as Your source for Wedding & Everyday Casual Pretty which perfectly sums up her ethos. This lass from California has always been put on edge by over-formality and she’s right you know, I wouldn’t limited these pieces to just your wedding day – in fact I wish I could wear one everyday! I think anyone can be well dressed and look 'pretty' if they OWN their style, casual or not. She told me I specialize in one of a kind accessories and metalwork. This includes etched copper tags, corsages, brooches and bags that feature curious and sometimes quirky design elements. All of my pieces are hand crafted incorporating organic, vintage (eco in its original form) or repurposed materials.

After giving myself an impromptu day away from my computer yesterday I have come back to a plethora of emails full to bursting with weddingy gorgeousness. I can not wait to get blogging it all! I'd better start the day with the most important announcement however..the winners of the Todd Ritondaro New York Love film contest. I have been overwhelmed with votes - over 2400 of you took the time to read the couple's stories and vote for your favourite - yey! It got pretty close at times but I am very excited to let you all know that the winners are.... Kate & Dan! Woooo! I ♥ New York. I’ve only been lucky enough to visit the city once before, but I have to say, after Tokyo, it is quite possibly my favourite city in the world (and seriously makes London look rubbish – sorry London.) As if you New Yorkers weren’t lucky enough, your life is about to get ever just a teensy tiny bit better. Oh yes, I kid you not – I have such a ridiculously amazing contest for you that I wish I could fly the hell over there and win the damn thing myself! Todd Ritondaro, who has worked on a range of films ranging from national commercials to small indie films is now branching into the world of wedding film and wants to make a little film about love in the big apple and he needs subjects... and that’s where you come in. He is giving away a free film shoot where you will play the lead. He will follow you and your beau documenting your story – where you met, where you hang out, where you fell in love… I am going to make films exploring the nuances of couples relationships, and film them in the place where they met, the places that are important to them, their regular bars and restaurants, the objects and events they give meaning to, etc. I'm fascinated by these kinds of dynamics and intricacies in relationships. I am approaching this idea the same way that I do when I shoot a narrative film, in that there would be a script of some kind, set locations, and a shot list. In some instances I would light them as well. Visually, I'm picturing something very cinematic and stylized. Not your usual wedding video. I feel like it’s hard to really get this in depth when shooting a couple on their wedding day. I think this approach is much more interesting and then allows the couple to use it on their website and screen it at their wedding. So, how about it? To be eligible you must have met and fallen in love in New York City and should still live there now. The shoot will take a full day and will happen sometime in September. I could literally fall over with excitement right about now, I am about to announce the winners of the Tinywater Photo shoot competition. We had so many votes (over 200 and yes I had to count them all, I have learnt my lesson and next time I will get a fancy widgety thing to keep track for me) So without further ado...your winners are.... Erica & Richie! I can not stress how close a call it was - they won by just 13 votes and the two runners up only had 2 votes between them - agonisingly close! I get very excited about running contests on the site, especially ones as fantastic as this one. In response you many of your suggestions to wanting more competitions I trust you will be satisfied with this one! One of my absolute favourite photographers, Tinywater, have offered Rock n Roll Bride readers a free, yes free photo shoot!
