Carla and Chris wanted their wedding to be a reflection of them but also to be laid back and enjoyable for their guests. They weren't bothered about following tradition and mainly wanted to make sure that they threw one hell of party! "We hate the big white wedding and the whole cut-and-paste experience so we wanted to do something different", began Carla. "No white wedding dress, no cutting of the cake, absolutely no bunting. Just us, relaxed and simple. I guess we set the scene when we sent out wedding invitations with a picture of two skeleton hands with their wedding rings on (till death do us part!)"

Alex and Dan were married in September and spent just £7000 on their southern american themed wedding. The celebration took place at Allington Manor in Lincolnshire and the bride wore a prom dress with Dr Martens boots. Their amazing wedding cake featured dragon's eggs and was based on their favourite TV show, Game of Thrones.

He was a skateboarder and so she tired to impress him by going on it... he nudged her and she broke her ankle! Far from being a disastrous first meeting though, Jon then changed his travel plans to be with her, aww!

"I think the venue for us was probably one of the most unique parts of our wedding", Abbie told me. "We didn't have a theme for our wedding, we just picked things we loved, without thinking too carefully about whether they would match," began the bride. "That's why I wore an art deco dress, the car was from the 1950s and our entertainment was a Mariachi band mash-up! The main thing was that we wanted our love of travel to come across, so we had a lot of map bunting, colour, and a global influence to our food and music."

Held at Wise Wedding Venue in Kent they did the majority of the décor themselves, or at the very least put their own personal spin on everything. Both girls opted for non-traditional wedding day outfits, and wore two suits each throughout the celebrations. To fit with the natural and eco wedding idea they had wooden rings made from paddock wood by Simply Wood Rings based in Chicago.

Ian and Jacqui were married in a 150 year old chapel called The Chantry, located between the south downs and High Weald in East Sussex. Right from the start of their planning they knew they wanted a village hall for their reception and chose Alciston and Selmeston Village Hall. They wanted a blank canvas that they could put their own stamp on.
