Ellen and Rory were married at Cottiers, a bar, restaurant and theatre venue in the West End of Glasgow. Their day had a bit of a Mexican fiesta feel with the oilcloths and paper banners from Viva la Frida. They also had hand stitched bunting and dried chillis hanging from the ceiling! Harry and Vanessa's barn wedding took place in September. The day was relaxed, fun and geeky, they also had a cheerful blue and yellow colour scheme. With a surname like Wildblood, Dean and Jen's wedding was never going to be boring. In fact they wanted their wedding to be just like them - quirky, stylish, fun and with a hint of vintage. Sarah and Adam's wedding was a true reflection of them. They love anime and Star Wars, so that was their starting point! The day was held at Priston Mill, Bath, in December. They wanted their day to be quirky (like them!) but also fun for their guests. Although a worry for a lot of brides and grooms, rain on your wedding day isn't the worst thing that can happen. This is definitely a wedding I wish I was at. Louisa and Richie sure do know how to throw one hell of a party! The styling for the celebration was really centred around their venue - the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall called The Ditch. An unusual choice maybe (and one with no natural light!) but it fit perfectly with what the couple wanted. Louisa's dress was designed by Catherine Deane. Jane and Andrew were married in Lissanoure Castle in Loughguile, Northern Ireland. Their day was eclectic from the start which began with the most unusual, but weirdly perfect, inspiration! "Jane found a couple of starting points for the visual style of the wedding early on", Andrew explained. "Firstly this photo of Gram Parsons wearing his amazing white cowboy suit with bold coloured leaves and flowers, and an Alice Temperley dress called the Long Eliah Flower Show Dress. Things evolved a long way from there. We used Pinterest to develop ideas with Jane's sisters and our lovely designer friend Kat Flint. In the end we had a lovely jumble of different bold colours, with some white and neutral tones from brown paper and hessian."Read more...

Cat and Paul did things to suit them - completely. Not being a girly, girl or ever wearing dresses, two weeks before the wedding the bride decided to go with what made her feel comfortable. David and David met online in 2006. They chatted for a few days and then had their first date at a local tapas restaurant. They both studied at the University of Manchester, so they chose the Museum at the university for their wedding venue. It is an amazing Victorian gothic building, and whilst they didn't really want a 'theme' per-say, there was definitely a scientific and national history thread running throughout the celebration.Read more...

Ange and Glen's wedding day started with an intimate ceremony with just 25 guests at Cardiff City Hall. They then moved on to The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for a Wales vs Argentina rugby match! Katie and Dan had a teeny tiny wedding (just them and their parents!) at The Summerhouse on the Millbrook Estate in Devon in December. Because they kept their guest list so small, they were able to do exactly what they wanted and to pull it all off for under £8000! Their smaller than average budget certainly didn't mean they had to compromise on the things that really wanted. Don't you just love looking at weddings when the emotion completely pours out of the photographs? This is totally applicable for Ash and Pat's Brighton elopement! They wanted a low key and budget-friendly wedding and so were married at Brighton registry office. It was just the two of them, two witnesses and their photographer Sassy of Assassynation in attendance. Carrie and Neil had a red and white wedding with rockabilly and polka dot touches! The day was held at Highbury Hall in Birmingham and was full of DIY décor. "We would like to think we were far more relaxed, friendly and laid-back than other wedding we have been to", began the bride. "So many weddings we have been to seem so stiff and uptight as a whole. Helen and Toby's rainbow wedding took place at Coombes Farm in Lancing. The didn't have a huge budget, £8000, but they made it go far with plenty of personal touches and DIY projects. The cakes, flowers and stationery were all done by friends and they didn't hire a fancy caterer to feed their guests. Sara and Dave were married in November. They had been together for 14 years and have 5 children so having a wedding had never really taken priority, but after visiting the amazing Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza Wedding Show in Birmingham, that all changed!
