Jess and Matt were married at a cemetery. Although this might sound a bit 'weird', they thought it was anything but, "Many people get married in a church, and pretty much all churches have graveyards so our venue was not too far from the ordinary when you think about it", Jess said. Wearing a bespoke black wedding dress, Iron Fist shoes and rocking her fuchsia tresses with aplomb, Jude married Will at Bruisyard Hall in October. They booked their country house venue for whole weekend and threw the party in the middle! The celebration was centred around the couple and their love of alternative music. After their ceremony at Lothian Chambers in Edinburgh, Will and Rowan hosted a low key reception at St Columba's by the Castle, which was walking distance for all their guests. On May 3rd, and with just £5000 to spend, Charly and Phil were married at Church of The Good Shepherd in Tadworth. They had their thrifty reception in the church hall next door! The bride wore a Nataya 'Titanic' dress and carried a homemade crochet bouquet. They saved cash by DIYing pretty much everything, from the flowers to the cake to the catering! The majority of the weddings I blog make me wish I was a whole lot cooler, and Lizzie and James' Shoreditch shindig is no different. These guys did things their own way - and then some! Kerry and Andrew were married at Mythe Barn in Birmingham. Their wedding was full of lovely rustic, home made touches. The bride wore a stunning 1960s vintage wedding dress which she found at Luxe Bridal and instead of a traditional bouquet, she carried dried flowers (!!) from The Artisan Dried Flower Company. Stonehenge, the prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, had always fascinated Shawna and Kevin. They flew over from the US to marry there. "It is nearly impossible to describe how it felt to walk among stones that have stood there for millennia", Shawna wrote. Ellen and Rory were married at Cottiers, a bar, restaurant and theatre venue in the West End of Glasgow. Their day had a bit of a Mexican fiesta feel with the oilcloths and paper banners from Viva la Frida. They also had hand stitched bunting and dried chillis hanging from the ceiling!
