Sam and Hattie were married at the bride's parents home, in a tipi set up in their extensive garden. But this wasn't the usual laid back backyard affair. The wedding was strictly black tie and super duper glamorous. Their guests were invited to wear their most decadent outfits, the bride wore a stunning handmade black couture gown, and her bridesmaid's were in incredibly sparkly custom made dresses.

Emily and Adam were married in May in Hitchin. Their wedding had a vintage travel theme and was full of DIY details. The bride made her own dress from Nottingham lace and Indian silk which she wore with a DIY birdcage veil. Her bouquet was also made from around 50 antique fine bone china flower brooches, collected from various charity shops and car boot sales throughout the engagement.

After a holiday to Nashville, Leanne and Kristian decided that a cowboy themed wedding would be right up their street. Their families weren't convinced at first but on the day everyone really got in the spirit and eEvery guest wore fancy dress! This was a truly DIY wedding with the couple doing practically everything themselves. The bride made her own dress (at the cost of just £80!), all the flowers were bought from a supermarket and the cupcakes were baked by the bride's sister.

Held at the London Wetland Centre, a nature reserve in Richmond upon Thames, it boasts all the colours, amazing homemade decorations and a wedding dress made by the father of the groom!

"Planning a wedding in just two months was stressful at times", explained the bride. "Our guest count was only 14 people including Ben and I but it was perfect, I always liked the idea of having a small intimate wedding, it felt so much more personal, everyone was a part of it."

Bethan and Rob's wedding was held at The Eden Project in Cornwall. They took their inspiration from the domes themselves and the plants inside, creating a natural themed wedding with geometric accents. "The ceremony and reception were both inside the Mediterranean Biome in the Eden Project", wrote the bride. "Thematically we had nature, geometry (taking inspiration from both the biome’s hexagonal roof structure and plant life) and fun, with a hint of the mystical. We wanted to tap into our friends’ creative talents as much as possible to make it really personal."

Their dress code was 'come as you are' and their invitations made it clear that it was going to be a party wedding! "We got everyone drunk by 3pm because of the Jagerbombs", Barney wrote. "By the time the DJ started in the evening, it felt like a giant house party, which is what we always wanted."

Sarah and Sudaman wanted their wedding to reflect both their cultures, English and Nepali. The reception was held at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton. They took the space and added their own personal style to it which that meant lots of colour! Sarah wore a dress made for her in Nepal and Sudaman wore a traditional Nepalese attire also made for him in Lalitpur, Nepal.

Pippa and Daniel were married at Barton Hall in Kettering. The inspiration for their wedding came from the bride's engagement ring, which the groom had designed himself. It features a large amethyst stone in the centre (the bride's birthstone) and that, alongside a bright blue which Daniel loves, became the colour scheme. Daniel knew he wanted an untraditional suit in blue and the colour amethyst was a perfect choice for the bridesmaid's dresses.

Alex and Sophia were married at Stoke Newington Town Hall, followed by a reception at The Draper’s Arms pub in Islington, London. They day had a subtle vintage vibe - from Sophia's Jenny Packham dress and Flo and Percy headpiece, to the retro photo booth and polaroid shots their photographer Lisa Jane took! Ultimately though, they wanted a local wedding that was intimate and enjoyable for their guests.
