Rebecca and Tom had an unusual inspiration for the theme of their wedding day - their own house! “We got engaged in our ‘blue room’,” explained Rebecca, “which is a deep teal and we’ve decorated it with copper accents. We then went wedding venue shopping and saw Wylam Brewery in Newcastle had similar features to our house - blues and greys, parquet flooring, industrial decoration. Tom was also keen to use as much wedding stuff in our house afterwards and because Wylam is a similar age and style to our house, we wanted to make wedding features and decoration that would look fitting in both.

Julz and Andy almost cancelled their wedding... until they discovered Rock n Roll Bride (!!) Planned in just six months, the couple wanted a day that played homage to the art deco styling of their venue and the season in which they said their 'I dos'. The bride told us, "The magazine pretty much saved me while I was wedding planning. I almost cancelled the wedding so I could grow my hair and lose weight. I couldn't find any brides at all that looked like me... until your mag came into my life so thank you!"

Zara and Alex didn't want a big fancy wedding, so they decided to just have an intimate legal ceremony with a few witnesses and their baby daughter present. Following this was a pit stop at the groom's tattoo shop for some matching ink, and from the bride's point of view they were done. However, the groom had other ideas though, and he secretly planned a big garden party for all their loved ones in his mum's back garden

Bringing their musical love of musical theatre and colour into the day, Kayley and John were married at Deepdale Farm over the summer. They also had a number of very special guests, namely their pug, Frank, and a llama and alpaca who joined them for photos! All the decorations were designed and made by the couple themselves. Their particular favourites being the banners with musical quotes on.

Lauren and Carl didn’t have a set theme for their June 2019 wedding; it was simply a big mix of stuff they liked and a case of putting it together to make it work! “I spent every lunch break on Pinterest and Instagram creating mood boards,” said Lauren. “I was inspired by a few things; notably the large, colourful flowers, lighting and animals from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream, the aesthetic of Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette with the antique gold frames, mixed pastels and lavish regal vibes.”
