Maxine and Josh wanted to include some traditional wedding elements in their day, in particular when it came to the ceremony, but they also wanted to ensure that it felt like them and reflected their own style. As the bride was on the liver transplant wait list for a long time and finally got her life-saving operation in October a few years ago, they also knew they wanted to get married around this time of year as it's such a special time for them.

Ellie Gillard

February 3, 2020

Lucie and Tommy's London wedding was inspired by the bride's love of pink, their mutual appreciation for the tropical aesthetic and the 1950s, and London, where the day took place. The bride arrived at Hackney Town Hall in a pink Cadillac, her bridal party all wore pink dresses from Coast and their reception decor was all shades from pastel to fuchsia and everything in between. Amy and Darren used traditional weddings they’d been to together to influence what they didn’t want from their own big day! Instead, they wanted their wedding to be fun and to feel like one big party. As they’re both big music lovers, they focused on their shared interest and the bands they’d seen together to theme the decor. Emily and Craig have been to a LOT of weddings over the last few years - 33 in five years, to be precise - so knew they wanted to do something completely different to what they’d experienced before. As music is a massive part of both of their lives so it was super important to them that it play a big role in their wedding day, too. They wanted the wedding to feel like a music festival with a contemporary twist - less wellies and haybales, more Berlin industrial with street art, greenery and warehouse vibes.. Oh and a massive party to boot!
