When planning their August wedding, Hannah and Anthony decided they wanted to play up to the Great British summertime as well as their love of retro flair. The bride's step-mother made bunting, they printed seaside photographs of family members to decorate the venue and their cake was made to look like a sandcastle - complete with two crabs as a cake topper! On the tables they placed photographs of their dog, Wally, with seaside themed props. Even their rings were on theme - they were wooden rings by Hoot Cornwall, made using sand from Thorpeness beach.Read more...

Bryony said she always wanted to get married on their anniversary, so when she and James got engaged (on their 4th anniversary) and she realised that not only did their 6th anniversary fall on a Saturday but the date was 22/02/2020, it was settled! They opted for a celestial theme very early on and as shes not a fan of flowers, they didn't have any! Instead of floral bouquets and buttonholes, she made star and moon ones out of glittery card (which cost lest than £50 in materials!) She also made their cake and place names. Her dad made the moon photo backdrop and her mum made her iridescent sequined skirt using a YouTube tutorial!Read more...

If you’ve had to postpone your summer wedding until the winter, you’re going to love the festive inspo from Jess and Tom’s December 2018 celebration. The couple had been dating since they were teenagers and ten years later Tom proposed to Jess with the most perfect 1920s emerald ring. This, and the fact that they desperately wanted to keep their early December anniversary as they’d been celebrating it so long together, inspired their festive theme, but they kept it true to their everyday style with plenty of rock n roll touches.Read more...

Oh we sure do love a simple, fuss-free wedding here at Rock n Roll Bride - and even more so when the couple still manage to put their own stamp on the day while remaining within a sensible budget. While Amy and Jason only spent £7000, they didn't feel that sacrificed anything - they truly had the day they always wanted.Read more...

Gemma and Jon chose St Pancras Station as their unusual wedding location and were married at the exact spot where they first met for their first date! They were married on the concourse with the trains behind them, and had their reception at Searcys Champagne Bar. They were inspired by the art deco vibes of the location, but also their love of Bowie through their choice of music, and the bride's accessories (Bowie is also their son's name!)Read more...

You probably already know this, but here at Rock n Roll Bride we are pretty much obsessed with pink, so when Amy and Adam's wedding landed in our submissions inbox we were thrilled! The couple were married at the bride's mum’s house in September and the entire wedding was DIY. Pink was the very obvious theme, but the bride loves Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, so that was a big reference point for them too,Read more...

Trinity Buoy Wharf has one of the best views in London which suited Rebecca and Dave's red, white and blue themed wedding to a tee. The couple didn't want the day to be too 'matchy-matchy', but they did was cohesive elements to run throughout. The bride wore a stunning red Pronovias dress (from their evening gown range, so less than a quarter of the price of their wedding gowns!), the bridesmaid wore white and Dave and his groomsmen were in blue suits.Read more...

nspired by their love of rock music and some of their favourite movie moments, Jenn and Tommy planned a personal, rock 'n' roll and wedding at Galgorm Resort and Spa in Ballymena, Northern Ireland last summer. They opted for quite a 'girly' colour scheme with pinks, peaches and rose gold, but included many things that reflected Tommy too - not least of all a very special guest appearance from Iron Man himself!Read more...

t's no secret that we LOVE a colourful wedding here at Rock n Roll Bride, so Jess and Rob's day, which took place in July 2019, was right up our street! They were married in Lancashire at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe, an old textile mill and has the longest bar in Britain! As the bride studied fashion at university and the groom loves beer, it seemed like the perfect spot. "We literally had a piss up in a brewery!" Jess laughed.Read more...

he couple’s love of 1960s decor and 70s disco inspired Simon and Xanthe’s September 2019 wedding. In fact, their reception venue, Caroline Street Social Club in Saltaire, was the first thing they booked and based the rest of their theme around.Read more...

I know this is not exactly rock 'n' roll,” wrote bride Emma, “but we felt there was a certain uniqueness in a pair of ageing rockers marrying in full Shakespearean costume followed by a banquet including butterflies, falconry and a first joust instead of first dance.”Read more...

The main priority for Chris and Nat’s September wedding day was for them to host a really fun party that had little nods to all the things that they both love. They were also really keen to keep things local; part logistics for all their guests, and part because after many years of travelling around, they’ve finally put down roots in London so it seemed like an excellent idea to celebrate the city that they hold so dear.Read more...

Stormy and Dan were married in London and although they didn't want a theme, their personalities and sense of style really came through on the day. "We flirted with the idea of a theme but to be honest it was difficult to find something that fitted the both of us and wasn't super stressful to implement", Stormy began.Read more...

Jon and Steph’s love story had a rocky start - they met at a military charity boxing event on the army base where Jon was posted, but just a week later was posted over 180 miles away. Undeterred by this, they spent every night together in the time they had left, and Jon promised when he left that he would come back to see Steph at weekends. “I don’t think I really believed he would, so was happily proved wrong when he came back two weeks later!” Their determination to make things work paid off, and they were married in December.Read more...

Terri-Sian works in the music business, so when it came to organising her December wedding to partner Stewart, she had a head start on the organisation side of things. The couple found strength in their conviction to be able to plan a day that was based around them and their interests; in fact, the only traditional things they did were have speeches and cut the cake! “We were the inspiration for our wedding; we chose things that made us happy and just did things our way.”Read more...
