With the bride wearing vintage, the reception at Rich's grandmother's home, and music playing a huge part, this July wedding has all the makings of the perfect Rock n Roll celebration. The day was also a real DIY effort, with everyone pitching in to make it perfect. A friend of the bride made her flower crown, all the flowers for the day were grown by friends and family and the stationery was made by the bride's brother. The cakes were brought by the guests. They had a 'bake-off' competition and the everyone won comedy prizes!

Happy day of LOVE! What could be a better way to start off this most romantic of celebrations than a Valentine's inspired bridal shoot... with a twist (of course!)? There are so many touches that I love in this set of photos - the hay bales with the hearts on, the colourful DIY fans or the heart garlands would make for incredible ceremony backdrops. There are some seriously sweet buffet table ideas and the gold and yellow tablescape is a really lovely and original take on the theme.

Steven and Beth were married at Penarth Fawr Medieval Hall in June. Their reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of Gorwel Cottage, a holiday rental with sea views over Cardigan Bay and Pwllheli harbour. They didn't have a huge budget and so they homemade as much as they could including the flowers and stationery. They also had an afternoon tea and evening BBQ as their food which was a lot cheaper than many of the other options that they looked at.

Anda and Paul had a nature themed wedding in the Transylvanian countryside. They love all things rustic and are fanatical about DIY so it was the obvious theme for their big day. They were married at a church and afterwards they both jumped onto a home made chariot (a chair strapped to a board attached to the back of Paul's bicycle) to head to their outdoor reception.

Eventually she plucked up the courage to just go out and shoot it, and she brought an amazing team along with her. "My initial goal was to create a sort of anti-editorial; something that would appeal to a wilder kind of woman", she wrote. "A bride who wanted to sidestep all the pretty stuff and just go for raw. I knew it wouldn't be for everyone, and that's okay. Somewhere out there are women who have to hold back the urge to howl at the moon; those are my brides."
