Charlotte and Sean's colourful retro wedding was held at The Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, with their ceremony at Forde Abbey in Chard. Carrie and Neil had a red and white wedding with rockabilly and polka dot touches! The day was held at Highbury Hall in Birmingham and was full of DIY décor. "We would like to think we were far more relaxed, friendly and laid-back than other wedding we have been to", began the bride. "So many weddings we have been to seem so stiff and uptight as a whole. We wanted a fun party atmosphere with a live band playing lots rockabilly, plenty of food for people to stuff their faces, and encouraged dancing until your feet dropped off. Cathie and Claire were hitched at Glenmore House. Their wedding was bright and full of fun! The pair both rocked amazing outfits, Claire in a red Candy Anthony dress and headpiece and Cathie in a corset from Fairy Gothmother and trousers by Vivienne Westwood. At their reception they had a popcorn cart, bunting, vintage suitcase for cards and vintage vases and jam jars for the flowers with tea lights.Read more...

Helen and Toby's rainbow wedding took place at Coombes Farm in Lancing. The didn't have a huge budget, £8000, but they made it go far with plenty of personal touches and DIY projects. The cakes, flowers and stationery were all done by friends and they didn't hire a fancy caterer to feed their guests. Mark and Clare were married at The Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet, Illinois. With a church on-site it was not only the perfect backdrop for their Victorian vintage wedding, but somewhere they could have both their ceremony and reception. With the bride wearing vintage, the reception at Rich's grandmother's home, and music playing a huge part, this July wedding has all the makings of the perfect Rock n Roll celebration. The day was also a real DIY effort, with everyone pitching in to make it perfect. A friend of the bride made her flower crown, all the flowers for the day were grown by friends and family and the stationery was made by the bride's brother. The cakes were brought by the guests. Happy day of LOVE! What could be a better way to start off this most romantic of celebrations than a Valentine's inspired bridal shoot... with a twist (of course!)? There are so many touches that I love in this set of photos - the hay bales with the hearts on, the colourful DIY fans or the heart garlands would make for incredible ceremony backdrops. Steven and Beth were married at Penarth Fawr Medieval Hall in June. Their reception was held in a marquee in the grounds of Gorwel Cottage, a holiday rental with sea views over Cardigan Bay and Pwllheli harbour. They didn't have a huge budget and so they homemade as much as they could including the flowers and stationery. They also had an afternoon tea and evening BBQ as their food which was a lot cheaper than many of the other options that they looked at.Read more...
