This week has been a little bit over-exciting. On Monday I had a meeting with Ian Stuart...yes the actual Ian Stuart. When I got an email from his office before Christmas saying he'd love to meet me to discuss a project idea he's working on I wasn't sure I actually believed it. In fact even as I was hopping on the train to London to visit him in his studio I still didn't actually believe it. Hurrah the first Thursdays Treats of 2012 is here! It felt weird not posting one last week, but it does now mean it that I've got an extra large, bumper edition for you today - double hurrah! Therefore I decree extra long tea breaks and internet browses all-round. I also just want to say a HUGE thank you for all your feedback on The Green Room that we launched this week. Gareth & I were totally blown away by all your comments. A few of you did say you were having trouble getting into the room (is it weird that I quite liked that - almost like it's one of those easter egg thingummies on DVDs that you have to work hard to find but when you do it's like you're in a special club?!) Welcome, weary traveler, to the last Thursday Treats of the year! We'll be in Crimbo Limbo next week (you know, that weird week between Christmas and New Year where time seems to slow down. Where most people are off work and there's plenty of terrible festive telly on?) Anyway, because of this I too will be (trying) to take a week off and so will be no Treats or Post It Notes posts. Last night I went to my second Christmas party of the year held at my favourite shop in all the land, Fur Coat No Knickers. I certainly couldn't go to a party in a dress shop without a fancy dress so I rocked up in this baby created for me by Alexandra King, accessorised with my sparkly 'Airlia' belt from Lara Hannah and added some extra sparkle (hey, it's Christmas!) with my silver glittery brogues. This week my best friend in the whole world came to visit. Carly & I lived together for three years at Uni and she was my maid of honour...in fact we always said if things didn't work out with me and Gareth we'd just go ahead get married. Anyway we hadn't seen each other in like, actual forever, because we both have stupidly busy lives and cray cray jobs, but it was so awesome to hang out and be bestest friends again. Quick update on what I've been up to this week...well yesterday I did a photo shoot with the amazing amazing amazing Ashton Jean Pierre. Ashton is a deaf wedding photographer who shoots in film and he is being profiled for an art's special programme for See Hear on BBC2. Our shoot had a slight 1950's Christmas vibe (we just has a few props, we didn't go overboard with the styling at all) and the show will be on the television on the 30th November (hence them wanting us to look a bit christmassy). I can't wait to see the shots (Gareth modeled too and look hella hella hot with his 50's quiff!) I'll be sharing the photos on the blog on Monday if it's not to early to get a little festive on you? Last weekend I was exhibiting at The Designer Vintage Bridal Show. It was so exciting to meet so many of my readers and hurrah for you all being brave enough to come say hi! I think the Rock n Roll Bride Magazines may have helped... The buzz around the mags at the show was tangible. Everyone was asking us questions about it and wanting to get their mitts on a copy. Words can't express by enamor at seeing every person in the place walking around with a copy of the magazine! In fact many of you even tweeted me photos of you (or your pets!) with the magazine afterwards which made my day!Read more...

It's been a busy week as ever in Rock n Roll Bride Land. On Tuesday I trepidatiously tip toed by way into The Dorchester Hotel, London (seriously way too posh for me) to give a quick talk at the Mark Niemierko Academy for wedding planners about getting featured & how to create a great blog for their businesses. I have to say that being away from the internet (except the odd sneak on to twitter and facebook) while we were away wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
