Happy Thursday my little muffins! The weekend is nearly upon us as we're edging closer and closer to the big C... oh yes I am so excited for Christmas already. We haven't got our tree up yet but - and this is a big but - I have managed to start my Christmas shopping which is always a huge weight off my shoulders. Does anybody else get Christmas shopping anxiety!? I never want to be the one to buy the rubbish gifts! Anyway, I've broken the seal this year and - shock horror - I've actually been enjoying it. Happy Thursday you gorgeous creatures. I hope your week has been as fabulous as possible. I've spent most of my time indoors. It's oh so glamorous being a blogger don't you know! For the most part Gala, Shauna and I have been ferociously emailing back and forth about all things Blogcademy. There's lots of excitement flying around and so much to organise before January (and beyond!) but it's all just really awesome. Waaah! Yesterday was insane! I spent most of the day plonked in front of my computer, staring at my screen in disbelief as tickets for The Blogcademy in London sold over and over again. It was so thrilling to see that you guys are just as enthusiastic about this little baby of ours as we are! Unbelievably we are sold out already! In less than a day!!! I've had a busy week this week, kicking off with the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham on Sunday. Now I'm not one of those blgogers who looooves wedding fairs, but I have to say this was - by far - the best one I've ever been to. The exhibitors were fabulous (you can see photos of some of my fave things on my instagram - hello! Back to the Future wedding cake!) and the brides & grooms-to-be that were wondering round were all so cool I could have died. It was so awesome to meet so many readers and fans in such a short space of time. I was humbled by all your kind words and your hugs. Thank you, thank you.Read more...

Happy October one and all! I have to say I'm quite the October fan. The weather is mild but not freezing and there's lots of skull stuff around for me to buy! Last year I fell so in love with these glitter skulls from Target but alas I couldn't find anything similar here in the UK (sad face) But this year I'm going to be in New York (eek!) so watch out New York party stores, I'm coming for ya (apologies in advance to my skull-hating husband).Read more...

Hey there! Have you forgiven me for the lack of Thursday Treats last week? ... Oh you forgot all about it already? Good good! But just in case, whatdayafink of that photo up there? Today I'm off to The Big Smoke to be interviewed on camera (eeek) and to meet the amazing Nanette Lepore at her Notting Hill store. Oh yes, that's me... in a rainbow. Isn't that Lisa Devlin so ridiculously clever?! So this week was a fun one! On Monday Gareth & I were invited to attend a cupcake decorating class hosted by Restoration Cake. It was seriously awesome, not least of all because it was a tattoo themed class! So it seems like I've started every Treats post recently with "wow what a week!" so sorry but... wow what a week! On Sunday night we sold the last Blogcademy space... yes that's right the very first Blogcademy sold out in under 7 days. Gala, Nubby & I are literally on cloud 9. We're so incredibly thrilled with the enthusiastic response we've received. We can't wait to meet everyone that's signed up and talk about our very favourite subject for two whole days. Well that was an insane experience. Insane is a good way, but still erring on the side of needing to be committed. So on Monday Gala, Nubby & I unleashed our collective baby on to the world. And we held our breath. We weren't sure how it would go down. We hoped people would be excited and that we'd sell a few spaces but oh boy, I think it's safe to say that none of us expected the reaction that we got. The first space was sold within an hour... then the second... then the third... Within 24 hours we'd sold half the available spaces. Someone from Australia booked in and is flying over especially... then one from the UK... then one from Belgium. OH MY GOD. I'm so pleased to report that we've been blown away by the response so far. Helloooooooooooooo! So today I've hotfooted it down to Brighton for the latest School of Rock blogging workshop. As always I'm cacking it but I know once I meet the lovely group of attendees I'll be fine (here's hoping...) There's so much going down at Rock n Roll Bride HQ (hum... not sure I love this phrase... can we think of a better one?) right now. The magazines have been flying out at a rate of knots and Gareth has basically spent the last 2 weeks surrounded by boxes, shiny pink envelopes, his trust label printer and photos of my face! Well Lisa & I have been furiously planning the next Photography Farm, taking place from thr 18th-20th September. WHAT A WEEK. After the madness that was Monday's magazine launch, I thought maybe I was in for a chilled out time, but oh no. It's been all go go go! But firstly, talking of the magazine, for those asking yes we still have copies available! We knew so many of you were disappointed to miss out on issue 1 so we've ordered more this time. The first batch of orders were sent out Tuesday so I hope some of you may have got yours already? I'd love to know what you think. I'd also love to see photos of you (your fiance/husband/wife/kids/pets) reading them. Email them over and I'll do a collage of my favourites and post them on the blog soon. Wow, what a scorcher this week has been! I ain't complaining (honest!) but my productivity has gone waaaay down. That glorious sunshine outside my window has just been too darn tempting. I did purchase the brightest neon orange dress known to man though. I am seriously excited to wear blind people in this baby! I also found out this week that I'm going to be featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine! I don't usually mention my press features here anymore but this is a really exciting one. I'm going to be profiled in their 'So you think you want my job?' section and oh boy I can't wait. Squeeeeeal! But the biggest news of the week is that a truckload (literally) of copies of issue two of the Rock n Roll Bride print magazine are being delivered to our house tomorrow!! I know, I KNOW It's taken so flippin' long to get this project completed but oh boy it is gonna be worth it. I have a new found respect for anyone in the magazine industry. How they manage to pull together monthly editions is beyond me! Issue two is bigger, better and even more glorious than the first. The majority of this week has been spent living it up covered in mud at The Photography Farm. It was the first workshop where the sun didn't shine throughout (happy summer huh?!) but as you can see from the sneak peek above, we didn't need 30 degree sunshine to create something special.
