Good afternoon from a very snoozy wedding blogger... I flew back to London yesterday but even the premium economy upgrade (don't believe the lies it's totally worth it and so much better than flying economy) couldn't stop me being out for the count until about an hour ago! This latest US jaunt has been non flippin' stop. Gala, Shauna and I always do this when we get together - we're so excited to see each other that we schedule in too much and half way through are gagging for a few days of down time.

This week has been nothing short of a whirlwind. Since we last spoke I've taught a workshop in Brooklyn (at the fabulous Rent Patina who rent out amazing vintage furniture - more on them soon!) quickly followed by a Q&A livestream which we did from our New York apartment floor - oh the glamour! If you missed it and you'd like to check out the hilarity (but also hopefully the really informative blogging chatter too) you can still buy a ticket for an iddy biddy $7 which will give you access to a recording of the event.

I touched down in New York City late last night and I am so thrilled to be back. I know it's a terrible cliché but I am so in love with this city - the sights, the sounds and yes, even the smells (OK only some of the smells...) Today Gala and I are mostly getting things ready for the workshop this weekend but I'm sure we can squeeeeze a few hours shopping in there too. Shauna arrives early tomorrow morning and I can't wait until the three of us are reunited again. It's only been two months but it feels like forever since we saw each other last. This is going to be an amazing two weeks and I can't wait to get cracking. Let the good times roll...

Phew! What a week. I kicked it off with a trip to see Elbie to get my scary roots sorted out and decided, on a whim to go for something new. Don't worry, the pink is still very much intact, but with some added lavender to my roots! Its quite hard to photograph and is actually a lot more purple than it looks in the photos but what do you think?

I've gotta tell you, I'm quite excited because this week Gala, Shauna and I booked flights to Santorini for Gala's 30th birthday! We're going to spend a few days there then we'll be hopping on the ferry over to Mykonos for a blissful three nights in a five star hotel... I know, it's totally extravagant, but it is Gala's birthday and after a crazy-busy and Blogcademy-filled 2013 I think we all deserve a good holiday! I can't wait to lie on the beach, drink and eat way to much and just generally lay like broccoli for a week.

OK not really... but it rhymed and made me laugh! Oh Christ, I need to get out more. Actually it's a sad sad state of affairs when the highlight of your week is going to Costco with your Mother. But I've never been before and that kind of stuff generally excites me. Pacing up and down the aisles wondering who on earth would ever need to buy 12 packets of spaghetti or 72 loo rolls... and where do those people store it all?! This week was just been a bit dull though. Everything I needed to do really just required me to be glued to my computer... writing, rewriting, organising, compiling... all that fun stuff. So I've got nothing too thrilling to report today although I did buy a enough green juice to hydrate an army at Costco and apparently I'm going to be quoted in the Daily Mail's You Magazine on Sunday. I must remember to leave my hovel to go and pick up a copy... Note to self: Must try harder to keep up the pretence that being a blogger is an exciting and glamorous life. Hum, maybe next week...

Phew what a week! On Monday we launched two new dates for The Blogcademy (Austin and Melbourne) and as ever, we've been floored by the response. I can't wait to meet all these shiny new Blogcadettes that are signing up for these classes! Our secret forum is getting pretty packed out and it's so thrilling to get to know all these babes online before we meet them in the flesh in their respective cities. Yey for new friends!

After a glorious start to the week (a bank holiday weekend with actual sun, who would have thunk it?!) it's starting to become a little less sun-drenched in the UK today, but that's certainly not going to put a dampener on my spirits. Gareth & I started the week with a trip to Bekonscot model village, a pub lunch and a walk... Christ how old are we!? But it was so lovely spending a whole day outside, away from our computers and spending some quality time together. We definitely need to do it more often.

This week has been a pretty exciting one. Gareth and I kicked it off by shooting with the wonderful babes at Things & Ink magazine who are running a feature on us. It was such a fun day and I can't wait to see - and share - the results with you. We're going to be in the next issue which is out in May so there's really not too long to wait either! It was so lovely doing a shoot with Gareth (he's never usually included in such things!) and to revisit some of the old haunts that we used to hang out when we first started dating.

I'm heading out tomorrow for a few days, well a week to precise, on a family holiday to the French Alps. And whilst I'm looking forward to unplugging (for the most part), breathing in that fresh mountain air and drinking way to much vino, I do so with a small sense of trepidation. Spending a full seven days in close confines with your entire family (love them as I do) is not something to be entered into lightly. I'm a slightly bleary headed blogger today after a wedding industry night out in London last night. I have to say, when I arrived at the venue as saw the above entrance sign, I was slightly concerned about what I'd signed myself up for. But I'm pleased to report that much fun was had, gossip was...er gossiped and cocktails were consumed in copious amounts. Just a little FYI, a Betsy Sue is both delicious and deadly in equal measures.

I popped into London at the end of last week to see the girls at Fur Coat No Knickers and to pick the winner of our wedding dress contest (congratulations to Diana by the way!) On my way out of Kingly Court, where they're based, my eyes were drawn to this enticing looking shop. It could have been the pink lighting, the fluffy marshmallow poufs in place of chairs or the words 'medicinal marshmallows' emblazoned on the window that drew me in, but either way I was drawn.

The three of us nonchalantly asked the amazing Brooke Davis if she'd mind taking a few shot of us while we were hanging out at Photography Farm the other week. She delivered magic. Oh lord, I can't wait to see and share the rest with you guys! It's so interesting seeing yourself shot by so many different photographers. Each one has their own style, their own eye for detail and their own way of capturing emotion. I call this one contented and in love. We are you know... the three of us are head over heels infatuated with each other.

January has been kicking my butt. I'm not going to lie, I've actually shocked myself with how much I've got going on this month. No sooner had we ticked over to the first day of the year and I was relaunching my website (thanks for all your feedback by the way - and to any of you who might have be experiences problems viewing the full site - read this) announcing new dates for The Blogcademy, getting featured (and writing for!) Cosmopolitan ... oh and planning a whirlwind trip to Paris with my BFFs (more on this soon!)
