It's been a pretty exciting week for me this week. I was sat on the London Underground yesterday evening with photographer Penny McKinley-Rodgers (who had come to meet me to take some behind the scenes shots of my preparations for my catwalk debut at The Luella's Boudoir Wedding Fair on Monday.) I turned to her and said..."Wow, my life is weird huh? How do I get myself into this situations?" You see I'd just spent the day having my pink head crimped and coiffed at a hair trial, trying on some pretty darn stunning wedding dresses and meeting lovely people who'd made me lovely things to wear down the catwalk. I'll be posting the pictures to show you how my day went on Saturday so I hope you'll pop back then to see them. It's been another mental but fabulous week in the life of Rock n Roll Bride. First off I've been organising like mad thing for the Rock n Roll party in April. Applications for tickets are now closed and invites have been emailed to the lucky 200 today. I am so sorry for those of you that didn't get a ticket but I had clsoe to 500 applications (463 to be exact) and the venue only holds 200...next time I'm booking Wembley Stadium! Please check your inboxes/junk folders/under your mattresses to see if you've got a ticket! I hope all the emails got through OK and I look forward to seeing you there. I've also been frantically preparing myself for my first ever bridal show (well the first one where I've actually got a stand as opposed to just swanning around like I own the place!) This weekend I'm heading up to Birmingham for the most anticipated bridal show of the year - The Designer Vintage Bridal Show at Highbury Hall, which will be taking place on both Saturday and Sunday. Wow what a week. I am literally dying of excitement to share the images from the bloggers shoot. I can't wait! In the meantime, pop by on Monday morning for some behind the scenes action. I also have a favour to ask you. The workshop I have been invited to speak at in Dublin, Love to Learn, may be moving to London or somewhere else in the UK. If so, would you be interested in coming to hear me whitter on and learn from the awesome Feather Love Photography and event stylists Bash, Please in September? Answers in the comments please! I am so excited about doing this workshop and I'd love to see some of you there. And finally, applications for the golden (well pink...) tickets to attend the Rock n Roll Party in April close on Sunday. If you haven't applied for a ticket yet please do! As most of you will know, I left my full time job last week. It was an emotional weekend of saying goodbye for me but I've certainly hit the ground running with this full time blogging thing (two photo shoots in one week? Am I mad?!) As Sunday was my last shift at the shopping channel, I decided I'd go on air to model the last piece of jewellery I'd ever sell (I was a producer you see.) Peter Simon, my presenter, who I've worked with for the last 2 and a half years who I've worked with for the last 2 and a half years, said a very emotional goodbye to me (can you see me holding back the tears?!) and the crew made a funny slate to put in the backscreen!Read more...
