The shoot took place in Green Park and Marylebone, London. The couple are getting married in September in a 1950's, burlesque and black & white bash and I'm pretty sure I'm going to love that too. Erinn & Brandon's Nashville wedding was an elegant and modern affair with a touch of rockabilly and country charm. The couple chose Aerial as the location for their wedding. They had their ceremony and reception on the rooftop, overlooking the city - a perfectly modern backdrop. "We chose Aerial not just because it was rooftop, but because it was above all of the honky tonks that make Nashville what it is" the couple to me. David & Camden's wedding portraits made my day. You've got the love the combination and contrast between the uber modern setting of the 'first look' portraits and the indoor setting with that dramatic lighting, followed swiftly by the fun, retro and cool outdoor portraits with that awesome car! Sara-Anne & Michael's 1940's inspired wedding had some really great touches. They balanced the classic look with quirky details so to make their wedding a perfect mix of tradition and personality. The wedding took place at Saphire Estate, Sharon, Massachusetts in May and Sara-Anne wore a gorgeous Oleg Cassini dress which showcased her ink in a classy yet cool way.Read more...

Becky & Jon wanted to have a laid back wedding with all their closest friends and family at one of their favourite posh restaurants in Brighton, The Ginger Pig. Originally Becky didn't even want to wear a wedding dress but after falling in love with this gorgeous David Fielden number, she soon changed her mind. It even disguised her baby bump pretty well! She paired this with some vintage shoes that had belonged to her Mother. The ceremony was held at Brighton Town Hall which was followed by some quick portraits on the beach - complete with the iconic Brighton beach huts and champagne in plastic glasses!Read more...

First of all, well done to everyone for all your patience. I have been very cruel and teased you for weeks about this new project (especially on Twitter hehe!) but I'm pretty sure you're going to forgive me when you see what I've been up to...You must also forgive me for the super wordy nature of this post, but there has been so much work behind the scenes to make this shoot happen that I can’t possibly do it justice without an epic explanation. A little while ago, the amazing Emma Case and I were talking about how crazy our lives are; about how everything seems to have exploded over the last few months and about how many awesome people we’ve met. “Let's do a shoot together” one of us said “hell yeah!” said the other. After we’d decided to actually go through with it and (as Emma later confessed to me) after a major bit of 'OMG what the hell am I doing'/freakin' out about it, a date was set. This ghoulish, retro horror themed wedding may not be everybodys cup of tea but I can't help but be a little over-excited about it. So. Much. Originality! Photographer Al, who has just been shortlisted for 'Tattoo Photographer of the Year' was keen to tell me all about Ash and Michelle Ghoulmore's (oh yes!) friday the 13th wedding. The couple run retro rebels store and the horror-themed clothing company Kreepsville 666 so their wedding was always going to be a spooky special. 'Ghoulmore' actually is Ash's surname and they pretty much live Halloween everyday, so it was fitting to pick a horror / b-movie inspired Wedding theme. "This meant I had to light the formals in a slightly different way to ensure I got that punchy highly saturated contrasty feel that fits with the mood" photographer Al told me. "This was the first time I've seen a smoke machine used during the ceremony! The archway was decorated with skulls and light like a stage. As you can see form the photos the cake was a skull and all the attendees got to take home a set of cast-silver effect fangs to say 'fangs for coming' [groan]. Amanda & Byron got married in April at The Lake House Inn - Perkasie, PA. The couple met while working at the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia. He was the though security guard and she was the box office girl/cocktail waitress. Their proposal story is so adorable I had to share it before you see their awesome tattooed wedding. There is no other way to describe this Warwick Castle shoot than kick ass. Is photographer Steve Gerrard fo' real? I can't get over how much I adore these and how much I want to be this bride! "I’m one of the castle’s recommended wedding photographers" Steve explained "so when I asked the lovely Katie Hill at the castle about doing the shoot, she was more than helpful, even allowing us to shoot long after the public had to leave the venue." Steve was helped along by local vendors The Bridal Boutique who donated a dress and The Blossom Tree who helped out with the flowers. Courtney & Dan got married at MGM signature patio, Las Vegas, and had their Rock n Rollin' Reception at Diego's restaurant in MGM. The couple both love Cinco De Mayo, collect hot sauce, their first date was at a Mexican restaurant and they love Mariachi bands, so the wedding has a slight Mexican theme. Courtney originally had a traditional wedding dress, but a few days before she got on the plane to Vegas she went to the fitting to find her dress was to small. It was fate! Courtney knew there wasn't going to be enough time to fix it, so she went to a prom shop in Philadelphia and found this gorgeous dress.Read more...

Shaun & Jacinta must be every wedding photographer's dream clients! With Jacinta being a fashion designer and Shaun an illustrator, their wedding was always going to be too damn cool for words. Jacinta designed and made her own dress over 3-4 weeks which incorporated a print designed by Shaun (!) The pair worked together to decide on few ideas of what to have in the design to make it perfect for them and to represent both their families. They wanted it to include a Maltese cross to represent Jacinta’s heritage and one of Shaun’s mother’s favourite flowers, Chrysanthemums.Read more...

Toni & Richard had a gothic/burlesque inspired wedding at Prested Hall in Colchester in March of this year. "Our inspiration mainly comes from my admiration of burlesque and my unnerving love of Bettie Page (who I have recently had tattooed on me)" Toni told me. After seeing Emma & James' funky engagement session I couldn't wait to see the wedding and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Emma dress was a 1930's inspired design that was handmade for her in champagne crepe backed satin by 'Rags to Bitches' which is a vintage boutique on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. She teamed this will gorgeous peach, sequinned shoes from Karen Millen and a gorgeous vintage style headband which was made from glass beads and pearls from a bridal shop in Poynton, Cheshire called Timeless Bride.Read more...
