Savannah & Eliot's super cool, Nashville wedding was held at The Crying Wolf bar. They were married outside in the car park, which ended up being a surprisingly beautiful setting, and the reception was inside. With the venue already being so awesome and decorated in such a quirky way, the couple didn't need to add too much, but they included a few things they love like animal skulls and various pieces distressed wood from the bride's mother's farm. Savannah also designed and made all the stationery, the flowers were bought from a flower market and the cakes were made by friends. The venue did the food and drinks and they had a friend DJ the party.Read more...

The idea behind Tim and Holli's wedding was for it to reflect the things they love, so they opted for a vintage, tattoo and 1950s inspired day. They added personal touches by making the centrepieces themselves, Holli also made her own bouquet from 12 red roses.Read more...

Lauren and Dean wanted their wedding to be a big party for everyone, but mostly one that they'd really love to go to! They handmade pretty much everything ("I think I burned off my fingertips with hot glue over those few months" Lauren laughed) and hosted it on a private properly in Granville, MA.Read more...

Ian and Jacqui were married in a 150 year old chapel called The Chantry, located between the south downs and High Weald in East Sussex. Right from the start of their planning they knew they wanted a village hall for their reception and chose Alciston and Selmeston Village Hall. Agnes and Liam's Balham Bowls Club wedding was full of budget-friendly DIY details. "We did everything we could to not have a theme - if we liked something, we used it, regardless if it went with anything else or not!" the bride began. Unbelievably, Myles and Cait spent just $2000 on their incredibly detailed Maine wedding. Held at PLD Auction Barn in Mechanic Falls, the wedding was thrifty and gorgeous. Cait wore a dress made up of two summer dresses from oasap.com, $8 shoes from Goodwill and borrowed jewellery. Myles' outfit was also thrifted from Goodwill stores.Read more...

The submission I received for Jessica and David's wedding began "If Wes Anderson was a wedding planner..." so instantly my interest was sparked. The Philadelphia wedding was a quirky Southern BBQ with retro touches. "I never knew what to say when people asked what the theme was", explained the bride. "I'd reply with 'It's a wedding... isn't that the theme?' I guess it was more about the color and the mood we wanted to create. I love retro fashion and I also love all those farm/ garden weddings all over wedding blogs. I also had our budget in mind and keeping in the budget helped make a lot of decisions about said theme... so maybe we can call it a budget retro summer garden party!"Read more...

Evelynne and Evan were married in Kings Cross St Pancras station. A weird place for a ceremony you might think, but it meant a lot to them as a couple. "With me being from Brazil and Evan being from America, travel is very much a recurring theme in our lives", wrote Evelynne . "We decided to get married at St Pancras Station as it is just a stunning building and we wanted the place to speak for itself without too many props."Read more...

Oh I do love when I get to blog both the engagement shoot and wedding of such an awesome couple. I actually don't post too many of the former, but Jesse and Chris's cemetery session really stood out so I just had to! I made their photographers, Sarah and Rachel of Sugar and Spice Weddings, promise that she'd send me their wedding pictures after it happened too, and I'm thrilled to share them with you all today. Megan and Tom had a chilled out, backyard BBQ wedding held at a friend's house. "We wanted the whole experience to be a representation of ourselves and our relationship", Megan wrote. "While we wanted everything to look beautiful, we didn't want it to be perfect or overdone. I went shopping in thrift stores for all kinds of mismatched vases that would compliment each other. At the end of the night. guests were allowed to take all of the assortments home with them."Read more...
