However in all the discussions we've had on this topic, there's one thing that's often forgotten (and I'll admit, even by me sometimes) and that is the wedding video. I understand why so many couples decide to not have one. Whether its budget constraints, memories of cheesy 90s VHS tapes, thinking you'll probably never watch it afterwards, or not liking how you look or sound on film. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, more than anything else in your wedding, you should invest as much as you can in your wedding photographs. After the cake has been eaten and the dress is relegated to the back of your wardrobe, the photos taken of your special day are all that remain (well, apart from the marriage of course!) They will sit on your parents' mantelpiece forever and when you're old and grey you'll be dragging out that photo album to show your grandkids how young and gorgeous you looked.

It's no secret that Rock n Roll brides love short, 1950s style prom wedding dresses. In fact I often think it is probably the style I'd wear if I was getting married again. Not only are they super duper flattering to nearly every body shape, but the short style gives some much needed sass to a wedding day ensemble!
