I am so excited to finally be publishing this bridal fashion editorial in full today! If you grabbed yourself a copy of the last issue of Rock n Roll Bride magazine you will have already seen a lot of this shoot inside, but today I wanted to take the opportunity to not only share more images that didn't quite make the spread (when 10 pages just isn't enough!) but to tell you all about Walthamstow Wetlands, one of London's coolest new wedding venues, who we partnered with for this shoot.

Why You Should Be Thinking Outside the Box with Your Wedding Venue

Kat

July 18, 2018

I don't know about you, but I've always found sorting the venue one of most stressful parts of wedding planning. Not only is it one of the first things you need to do (you can't set your date, send out invitations or even really start planning your decor and theme until you know where the day will take place) but almost everything else hinges on getting this part right. A fantastic venue will make your wedding day feel like a dream, whereas one that isn't quite right will make the whole process a bit of a nightmare.

Think Beyond the Wedding Favour: Personalise Your Wedding with My M&M’s®

Kat

June 11, 2018

Wedding favours get a bad rap but they are a great way to personalise your wedding tables. M&M's offer an amazing personalisation service, where you can choose the colours of the chocolates to match your theme and then add a logo, phrase or even a photo to the top of them! I obviously had to try it out and I think our logo looks so cute on the pink M&Ms. Even Gareth was like "Oooh these have our logo on them!" when he saw them. Crowd pleaser all round.

The First Bridal Collection from Collectif: Wedding Dresses for Under £70!

Kat

April 6, 2018

One of the thing I'm most proud of with Rock n Roll Bride is our position to encourage brides to do whatever they want for their wedding. We're not in the habit of passing judgement on who you marry, how you marry, and definitely not on how you spend your money. Want to drop £3000 on an incredible designer gown? Do it! Prefer to get something handmade by an independent British designer to your exact specifications? You go girl! Or maybe you're the kind of babe who wants to run out to the high street and grab the first dress that takes your fancy? This is your wedding and you do it your way!

OMEDELBAR from IKEA: Gothic Meets Hollywood Glamour for your Home!

Kat

March 1, 2018

There are two great life lessons I've learnt since embarking on our renovation project: Everything will take 1716 times longer than you hoped it would, and IKEA is basically brilliant. OK so I knew the latter already, but when you have people coming around for your first attempt at hosting Christmas Eve and you realise that morning that you haven't got enough chairs for everyone... Well let's just say I thank those Swedish home gods everyday that they decided to open a branch in Reading.

Enter a Magical Shoe Heaven Wonderland: Irregular Choice on Carnaby Street

Kat

November 25, 2017

"There's a magical place, we're on our way there With shoes in their millions all under one roof..." Seriously, Irregular Choice should totally steal the Toys 'R Us theme tune because never has anything more accurate been written about how I felt walking into their flagship store. Last week I was invited by their head office to go visit the Carnaby Street shop and pick out some pretties to take home with me! Well, they didn't have to ask me twice.

If there's one thing that makes a wedding go off more than anything else, its the right music. Hiring a killer band or fantastic DJ is a great idea, but if the entertainment budget is tight then a DIY playlist is the definitely the way to go! I'm sure many of you reading this are already planning to do that in fact which is why I'm thrilled to introduce you to My Wedding Songs today. Their aim is to make the job of compiling your perfect wedding playlist much easier - and it's totally free to use!

Eternal Beauty from the Inside Out AKA How I Transformed my Bleach Damaged Hair

Kat

November 3, 2017

Around five years ago, after way too much abuse from DIY bleaching, my hair was in a bad place. It was dry and brittle and wouldn’t grow past my shoulders before breaking off. Naturally, my hairdresser wasn’t impressed and helped me to see the damage I was doing to it through over-bleaching. If you’re partial to a splash of unnatural colour in your hair the chances are you can totally relate to this problem.
