I’ve been sat, staring at a blank Word document for a good half hour or so wondering how I can put into words the experience of our recent adventure in the Maldives. Writer’s block is REAL when you have so much to say but you’re not quite sure how to adequately put such an incredible experience into words… The Maldives has been on my vision board for years so actually being able to go there… I mean wow, how did we get so damn lucky!? The whole trip was so magical, so perfect, and so relaxing that it almost feels like it was a goddamn wonderful dream.

Bethnal Green's Town Hall Hotel is a real hidden gem. From the original art deco interiors, the dramatic marble staircases, original wooden panelled rooms and their very own ceremony chambers, its the perfect spot for the wedding of East London-loving urban dwellers. The entire place has been sympathetically restored in its original art deco finery so stepping through those grand front doors really is a little bit like stepping back in time.

It's no massive surprise that the right music and entertainment at a wedding is CRUCIAL to have a party that goes off with a bang. However if you're not the kind of people that go to a lot of gigs and you don't happen to have a DJ BFF, it can be difficult to know how to find people to perform at your wedding. We had a terrible band at our wedding over a decade ago because we simply didn't give the choosing of them enough time and attention (I actually think my parents went to a wedding where they played and said they were 'alright' so we we're like "Sure, lets just book them and get it ticked off our list".
