Peacocks were the inspiration for Steph and Jo's army barracks wedding. Their favourite colours are green and purple so it worked out perfectly! They used peacock feathers throughout their wedding - on the cupcakes, as the centrepieces and as motifs on the stationery.

Wendy & Jesse's homemade wedding had a peacock theme. The day was held in their own house and alongside Brittany of Bshane Events, they made what they could themselves to make their wedding their own. Wendy wore a dress that had belonged to her Mother in the 70s. It was originally a pageant dress but she customised it, inspired by Gwen Stefani's wedding dress.

Danyelle & Daniel were married on New Year's Eve in Islington Town Hall, North London. They picked this day for their wedding because the bride's great grandparents were married on Christmas Eve before he went off to fight in World War 2 and they felt it would be nice to have their special day around the same time of year, in memory of them.

Cole & Mike were married at The Mercury Cafe in Denver which is is actually they first met. When I asked the couple how they'd describe their wedding they replied, "A gypsy rocking vintage dancing celebration of love!" "I don't know if we could ever NOT do things differently, but with our wedding, this was especially important," Cole continued. "The venue itself created a unique atmosphere. It's this gorgeous ballroom above a local-healthy-organic-delicious cafe, and they have dancing there almost every night of the week. The place is strung with lights all over, and the walls are painted with gorgeous murals. The whole place is a bit bohemian and romantic, and in a lot of ways it dictated the style we went with-a very eclectic and romantic theme. The only thing that was really consistent throughout was. . . peacocks."

"The whole wedding was sort of 'peacock vintage' themed," newlywed Stephanie told me. "We really managed to keep the wedding cost pretty low and spent less than $12,000! We was able to do this by making our own centerpieces, boutineers, corsages, invitations, and headpieces. We also used an older, less popular florist because I knew exactly what kind of flowers I wanted, and I provided the ribbon and feathers to her, leaving no room for error."

Tina & Scott's travel and craft themed wedding took place at The Greenbranch, Texas. It was predominately a DIY wedding influenced by the couple's travels. "It was mostly a do-it-your self peacock inspired wedding with a splash of anything vintage was a blast," the couple told me. "Our invitations were an image of a vintage suitcase with travel stickers of places we have visited. This connected with our first date; a “geocaching date”. We not only wanted to share our journey as a couple with our guests but also encourage them to have an adventure of their own. The wedding favors for the evening were uniquely trackable geocaching coins designed by us."

"The Great Gatsby was my inspiration (minus the abundance of alcohol and affairs!)" bride Katelyn told me. "Our style for our wedding was very glamorous, but not without that 1920's quirk. I like to think my style is quirky too, so this was perfect for our wedding day. Plus, I love fashion and culture from the past! Now, I could never justify spending as much money on a party as Jay Gatsby, but I still wanted my reception to be as unique and fun. So, I replaced stuffy details like flowers with more lively ideas like bright peacock feathers, and I picked a beautiful venue (that happened to be brimming with vintage touches!) where everyone would feel at home - The Guild House, Bakersfield, CA."

The couple found the planning of their destination wedding in St. Petersburg difficult and enlisted the help of the bride's Mother with all the organisations but really put their hearts and souls into creating the prefect wedding.

This beautiful British bride had a gorgeous 'Cherish the Dress' session with her friend and photographer Caro Hutchings. "Jemma got married two years ago and wanted some images of her dress and detail shots to print out and put up in her new house." Caro told me in her email. "We had loads of fun with props and made a feature of the amazing hair pieces we found – especially the peacock feather piece which we fell in love with from ebay. Her dress was byLinea Raffaelli and we had Robina's of Marlow doing her hair and supplying the rest of the hair accessories. The location of the shoot was an amazing house in Bourne End, Bucks known as ‘The Oak House’ which has just been finished. The shoot was actually the day before Valentines day which was very fitting for our romantic heart theme and got us all in the valentines mood."

Megan & Marcelo met at a punk rock bar in Hollywood... so naturally their wedding would have elements of rock too. The day took place at the ube cool Marvimon in LA with the beautiful flowers being put together by Holly Flora. The bride wore a short hip wedding dress by Amsale and shoes by Gwen Stafani's label, L.A.M.B. The groom looked similarly hot to rock in his skull themed accessories. All the music was hand picked and complimented by the couple's favourite videos projected all night behind the dance floor. It felt like The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Devo, Love and Rockets and Nick Cave all attended the bash as well! The guests kept saying was that this wedding was just soooo Megan & Marcelo...and that is one the best compliments a couple can get. A DIY wedding with Holga images? Oh hell yeah baby! Shelly & Jeff had a wedding that perfectly epitomised them. From the turquoise and orange pom poms and the personalised 'All You Need is Love' M&Ms to their friend playing 'Blackbird' by The Beatles and Dr Seuss' 'Oh The Places We Will Go' as gifts. From the sparrow salt & pepper shakers as a cake topper and succulents as centrepieces to the their customised 'lunchboxes' by Pink Avocado..oh yes yes yes! Jenna & Michael had a fabulously quirky, kiiky and personally rockin' wedding two weeks ago and the every lovely Love Me Do photography were there to capture the entire thing. The couple put a lot of work into the day with DIY projects a-plenty. "We wanted our wedding to be very classic looking, but still have a whimsical picnic, day dreamy kind of day feeling” the couple explained and they certainly acheived this goal with ideas such as the wishing tree - handmade bird silhouettes pinned into flocks and hung from the branches - which was used instead of a guestbook and the funky chocolate mouschases that certainly made for some great pictures and were provided by Pink, White, Brown. Jenna looked the perfect rock n roll bride in her Alvina Valenta dress and hairpeice from Liaison on Etsy. The bridesmaids dresses were the stunning Vivien Leigh dress by Siri in which they all looks quite the rockabilly princesses! Like these images? Well if you are about to book your wedding photographer then STOP. Hold on a few days and wait until I launch my next contest on Monday... I am terrible at keeping secrets it would seem but it may just be my best ever. Eeek...My lips are sealed. I think this year green may be the new colour de jour for rock n roll brides. I have been sent a couple of gorgeous green girlies recently...do I see a new trend emerging? You will probably remember Amy from her stunning bridals that I shared recently. Well photographer Brandi was nice enough to send me the full wedding to report. I am crazy about the florals (I'll probably never tire of peacock feather bouquets!), the bridesmaid's and groomsmen's awesome purple combos which looks fab against Amy... and still of course, her shoes!
