OK hear me out, while 2020 sucked in many, MANY ways, also, it was kind of amazing. We got to spend time at home, we started to appreciate the small things, we realised just how lucky we are to have the NHS and we got to revaluate what is really important to us, too. While having to postpone your wedding was obviously a massive suckfest, it did give you more excuses to buy more issues of Rock n Roll Bride magazine soooooo who can really be mad about that!?Read more...

There's nothing we love more at Rock n Roll Bride than going OTT, extra AF and living your best authentic life, no matter what that looks like to you. This shoot, which we shot just days before lockdown began in March (yes, it's taken me a long time to getting around to blogging it!) was featured inside issue 32 of the magazine, and while we'd been planning it for a few months, the glitz, glamour and all-round flamboyant extravagance of the theme was actually JUST what we needed to see once the dreaded c-word wreaked havoc with the world!Read more...

Originally published in issue 30 of Rock n Roll Bride magazine (Jan/Feb 2020), our 'Queen for a Day' editorial was all about celebrating how fierce you are going to be as you sashay down the aisle. We wanted to use giant crowns, gold and some really unique florals. As soon as we found the stunning Fitzrovia Chapel, a bedazzled little jewel of a place hidden away in the streets not far from Oxford Circus, we knew it was the ideal location. Rock n Roll Bride was built on sharing alternative, inspirational yet attainable real weddings. When I started blogging in 2007 there was no other platform showcasing weddings that sauntered off the beaten path. However through many long hours of trawling wedding forums, Flickr groups and good old fashion Google, I was able to uncover many, MANY incredibly creative, super unique real weddings that weren't being shared anywhere else - I assume because they didn't fit the picture perfect, traditional wedding mould that was so popular a decade ago.Read more...

Those delicate, girly hues can still be Rock n Roll - all it takes is an injection of fun! One of the most fun and creative parts of my job is the editorial fashion shoots that I create with my INCREDIBLY TALENTED photo shoot team. For issue 10 (Sept/Oct 2016) we wanted to channel one of the original Rock n Roll couple: Elvis and Priscilla Presley. We used just one model, Tarla, who was actually the perfect Elvis and Priscilla, and we shot at Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton.Read more...

If you've picked up a copy of issue 7, you will have seen the Skin Deep photo editorial that I partnered with Nova of the Nu Bride on. Today I wanted to share a few extra shots with you all that didn't make the magazine spread (it turns out 8 pages just isn't enough ha!)
