Suzy & Gerard actually got married in 2005 but still wanted a day (years!?) after shoot with the amazingly talented Megan Welker- well who wouldn't! They almost had a disaster with the dress however as after Suzy got it back from the cleaners she discovered they had taken out all of the puckers making those stunning billowy pleats,OMG cricis!! Luckilythey knew a fabulous seamstress who painstakingly put them all back in for the shoot. It almost never happened and that would have been a travesty! Thanks to Megan for allowing me to share. I apologise for my slight absence yesterday, I had a super busy day planning new ventures (eeek exciting!). I hope all my American readers had a fabulous Labor Day weekend but it has been rather lonely in Blog-land this past few days and I am glad you are all back! Let's get this show on the road shall we - as always, way too much gorgeousness to share today! Amber & Kwame has a stunningly simple and personal backyard wedding in Sidney just outside of Victoria BC. Their day was not about the bouquet and rings, but a calebration of their love and a big old reunion for all their friends and family. Thanks to Helene for these beautiful images - so much happiness! A Punk Rock Fairytale

Alysson & David's wedding was a fusion of traditional, rock n roll and crazy awesome hair! They were married in a church that was a converted school by David's father who is a pastor. As photographer, Daniel Krieger said to me... The couple tore up the dance floor once some loud punk music came on the stereo.. the atmosphere of the wedding was just a chill, fun time.. people with different coloured hair and regular looking aunts all on the dance floor together. Alysson's Amsale dress was accoumpanied it with some shoes by Chinese Laundry, bought from DSW. The rock star credentials don't stop there though. Not only did The Ramones play at their reception (!) but they had a pair of guests, Tish and Snooky, that not only used to be in Blondie (ARRGH!) but are the founders of Manic Panic (kick ass hair colour dye.) I think right now I owe those two a huge thank you for creating such amazing rainbow hair dye! Thanks to Daniel for sending this rock star wedding to me! Credit: Daniel Krieger

Offbeat Bride

Ron & Tessa got married at The Uptown Theater in Kansas City and I am crazy about their gorgeous offbeat wedding! The room they tied the knot in was called The Cabaret Room which dates back to the 1920's but is now used to host rock concerts. This pretty much perfectly reflected their vintage, rock n roll day! Tessa found a taffeta-free alternative vintage style dress by Allure Bridal and Ron wore a bowler hat and spectator shoes along with a vest and pocket watch, all of which added to their theme. The couple decided an over floral wedding was not for them and instead chose to incorporate feathers wherever they could. Although Tessa chose to take a walk down their beaten aisle carrying a traditional bouquet and Ron wore a boutonniere, they completely skipped the floral centrepieces, opting instead for a vast array of gorgeous ostrich plumes in teal and black to match their colour scheme. Tessa also wore a gorgeous feather hairpiece which she bought from Etsy seller YJdesign, and finally one of my favourite touches, the feather theme was rounded off by the cute bird cake topper made by Etsy seller cornflakegirl. Thanks to Tessa & Ron for sharing their gorgeous day with us!
