The inspiration for Nino and Basti's wedding was their shared love for the underwater world, sea creatures, and the dreams they hold for the future. “We called our theme Seensucht nach Meer, which means ‘Longing for the Sea,’” Nino shared. “I’ve always loved sea creatures, and we both dream of retiring in Tenerife one day.” Their day, filled with DIY touches and small but meaningful moments, showed how intentional choices can transform even a civil ceremony into something unforgettable.

Celia has always always dreamed of being a mermaid, and both her and Jared have a strong love for the ocean, so they knew they had to make their commitment to one another standing in the waves. They live close to where their ceremony was held - El Matador Beach, Malibu - so knew the location would be perfect roaming cliffs, sunset views and ocean that stretched for miles and miles.

Milica and Aleksandar met in a youth hostel in Belgrade, Serbia, eight years ago. Although they still live there now, they spent last summer in America, mostly in NYC, but also road tripping all over the states. They fell in love with Coney Island and decided to get married there. As they were so far away from home they couldn't have many guests and instead celebrated with a small group of very close friends. But this also meant they had no big expenses and spent less than $500! They are planning another wedding for next year when they are back in Serbia, so they can celebrate with all their families and friends.

There's been all sorts of uproar in the press about Ariel having given blonde hair (shock horror!) in the Little Mermaid reboot that's set to hit the silver screen in 2017... but imagine if they made Eric a girl! How amazing would that be!? OK so that'd probably not going to happen in Hollywood, but it did at Fremantle’s South Beach, Western Australia!

For the photo shoot at the latest Photography Farm workshop, photographer Lisa Devlin knew she needed to do something big. After all, at the last Farm Gareth and I got married again! After seeing Megan and Grant's gorgeous wedding on Rock n Roll Bride, and reading how much Megan loves Disney (and just so happens to resemble a certain crimson haired mermaid) the ideas started bubbling away. She wanted to put a different twist on the mermaid idea though and eventually came across the story of Rusalka, from which The Little Mermaid movie was based. Luckily Megan and Grant also loved the idea and we're thrilled to model for her!

Bonding through their mutual love of Disney, it was more than fitting that Brandon and Ashley were inspired by the happiest place on earth for their wedding. These guys went all out! The day was held at Rancho Las Lomas and they had a real life zebra in attendance and a mermaid... no, I'm not kidding!

There's nothing that evokes childlike wonder quite like mermaids. I don't think there's any girl who watched The Little Mermaid as a kid and afterwards didn't wanted to be one... So when this shoot, although not strictly wedding inspired, landed in my inbox, I knew I wanted to share it with you. It's pure fantasy but that doesn't make it any less fabulous.
