I have rather a loving relationship with all the regular contributors to Rock n Roll Bride. After all, they are the ones keeping me going and sending me wonderful and inspiring content to share with you all. So when Jeremy Lawson told me that his love for me continued to grow...well I could hardly say no to featuring Melissa and Howell's fabulously chic wedding could I? (ps emails like this really make me smile so thank you thank you thank you!)

Funky, Farm Wedding

Kat

December 10, 2009

Neil & Hayley wed at The Rare Breeds animal farm, in Ashford Kent on the probally wettest day of the year! All was not lost however as not only to Hayley get to rock her bridal look with some wellies, but the laid back couple just took it in their stride. We didn’t really have a theme. We just wanted a wedding that was simple, elegant and pretty with a choccy cake! My dress was from a shop in Ashford, UK called Brides of Kent ltd. I found it the first day I even looked for a dress. It was the 3rd dress I tried on! Everything seemed to fall in to place easily with the wedding. Fate. Thanks to Martin for sharing this funky, laid back and UK wedding with us today

Lady Diana

The awesome Marianne Taylor (who shot my pinky, punky princess shoot) just sent me a selection of her most recent engagement sessions and Sam & Adam's jumped out at me right away. Not only have I got a unhealthy obsession with toy cameras right now (they used a Diana camera as a prop) but the couple are just to damn right funky for words. I am loving Mr. Whippy ice cream, the light up heart shaped display, the neon back lights and of course the fact that these images are quintessential London baby! Thanks to the ever gorgeous Marianne for sending these over. Credit: Marianne Taylor Photography

Intense. Elation. Ridiculous.

As soon as I laid eyes on James & Rebecca's Melbourne wedding I knew I wanted to blog it. However with photographer Jonas Peterson so in demand by wedding bloggers I thought for sure that someone had beaten me to it. So imagine my elation this morning when I received a tweet from Jonas who asked if I'd like to be the first to blog them...Well of course! The wedding took place at the 300m Eureka Tower in Melbourne which proved a challenge for their dear photographer who admits to having a fear of heights! The results are, of course, astounding. Quite apart from the intense photography - the details, her multi-layers dress in the most flattering dark white shade and the gorgeous venue - make this a wedding I am more than proud to share. Thanks to the ridiculously talented Jonas for sharing these...woooo!

Beautiful You

I have to be honest, when I received an email from Evelyn Eslava asking if I wanted to share a photo shoot featuring vintage dresses and horses I wasn't immediately blown away...I'm not the outdoors type should we say! But when she sent the images through yesterday, boy was I proven wrong? I am in love! Top secret news: Myself and my gorgeous hubby Gareth are doing a photo shoot this week (eek how exciting!) and we will most certainly be using these as inspiration - in fact I have already emailed this shoot to our photographer to check out. If only I can pull off that effortlessly chic vintage look myself...hum... Thanks to Evelyn for sending these over and to the models Lianna, Lydia & Lauren for being too gorgeous for words

Day to Night

Kat

October 20, 2009

Anna & Simon actually had two days to shoot their engagements with friend and photographer Steve Gerrard. They hit two locations which gave both sets a completely different look. First up was the quaint English town of Stratford-Upon-Avon (random fact of the day - where Shakesphere was born) and the second at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. I can't help but particularly love the night time/painting with light shots though - v. cool! Thanks to Steve for shooting these over to me.

Autumnal Engagement

Kat

October 5, 2009

Autumn is most definitely here isn't it? Although it's getting colder (and in the UK's case much rainier) we do get some gorgeous colours and light at this time of year. San Francisco based Jerry & Ingrid Yoon were lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous Rosann & Josh frolicking in the autumn leaves for their recently engagement session. These images make me feel all together a little bit less blue about the impending season. Thanks guys, you certainly put a smile on my face this morning! Credit: Jerry Yoon Photography

Personal & Vintage Touches

Kat

October 4, 2009

I really do love sharing weddings from the UK. Southampton based Az sent me Julia & Simon's quintessentially vintage English wedding and I just love it. The personal touches like the individually personalised beer bottles and the vintage finds such as the tea sets which the couple spent months scouring charity shops for all made their day perfect. Thanks so much to Az for sending these in. I look forward to seeing much more of you in future! Credit: Lemontree Photography

Pretty Stuff

September 30, 2009

I'm taking a break from less pretty stuff to share this gorgeous session by Cathy Empey. Cathy attended a photography workshop held by Jessica Claire and took these a-a-amazing images whist she was there. The details are of course fabulous (check out that super duper cute newspaper decorated cake & cake topper!) but her perspective is what really drew me in to these...stunning. The vitals: Event & Photo Stylist: Grey Likes Weddings Floral Design: Flora Organica Hair & Makeup: Vivian Tran of All Made Up Wedding Stationary, Favors, and Paper Suite: MaeMae Paperie Printing of paper products: Czar Press Fabric Rosettes, shoe clips, and “just married” banner over cake: B.
