While there have been HUGE, incredible strides made all over the world in the last few years, parts of the wedding industry are still (STILL!) outdated a hetro-normative as fuck. Hayley of Wedding Business School has recently set up a FREE online course for wedding suppliers to help educate and improve the lack of inclusivity and diversity she's personally experienced. Americans Sean and John chose to travel to Ireland with a gang of family and friends to get married at Lisnavagh House in County Carlow. With the wedding being in February the weather was pretty insane - they even got a surprise snowstorm! Ben and Matt had a very specific vision for their November 2019 wedding; “We love Francisco de Zurbaran’s baroque still life paintings,” said Matt, “these inspired our table decorations. We were also inspired by fashion designer Molly Goddard who recreated an art class for her A/W 2015 presentation. We wanted the tables to feel a bit like an art installation and our guests to feel like they were part of the piece.”

The theme was a combination of keeping things simple and intimate but with rustic and romantic touches. John and Chris toyed with returning to Vegas to get married after getting engaged there in September 2015, but with young family it wouldn't have been practical, so they set about finding the perfect venue for them to be able to give their big day the feel of the glitz and glam of Vegas! Held at Ingliston Country Club in Bishopton outside of Glasgow, they worked with the coordinator there over a three year engagement to create a day that everyone would remember - and a strict ‘no hat, no entry’ policy to boot!
