Hannah and Mike postponed their wedding by almost a year due to COVID, finally tying the knot on April 3rd 2021. Although they organised most of it last year so weren't totally sure how much they spent, they know they wanted to keep the day affordable, with their only big cost being entertainment - in fact it was most of the budget! The groom works in the wedding industry so was able to call in favours and have friends make the food and cake, they didn't bother with centrepieces or flowers and they asked their guests to bring their own drinks.

Lindsey and Laura's had an ‘out of this world movie night’ theme for their May 2019 wedding, They combined Lindsey’s love of space and astronomy with Laura’s love of media and the movies and came up with something truly unique. Each table was named after a film, they had a space themed cake and everything décor wise was homemade.

Richard and Melvin went all out for their July 2018 wedding. They hired beautiful Elmore Court, a grade II listed mansion in Gloucestershire, as their venue. Then, 10 days later, they had a second party at a private members club in London (where they had their first date) for 250 people who couldn't attend the main event!

After years of fighting for equality, Switzerland just legalised gay marriage last year, and while Jasmin and Lorena's wedding fell before the official date (they were married on August 22nd and gay marriage - rather than civil partnerships - were made legal from 8th December) they didn't want to wait one second longer to be wife and wife. They planned a celebration that was both down to earth and timeless, but celebrated who they are and their love.

When it came to planning their September wedding, they were inspired by the barn and outdoor space at Garden Gate at Haley Farm in Maine, New England. “Our vision was captivating design and lush florals,” the couple told us, “to go alongside the beauty of the property. Our love for jewel tones was also an inspiration! We loved having so much outdoor space in the lawns and the back deck. We wanted an outdoor seating area the moment we saw the back deck.”

This April wedding was a strong female-led affair with both brides being walked down the aisle by their mothers and the cake and flowers being made by Carleigh's.
