Heather and Anthony chose October 31st 2020 as their wedding date but they didn't want the usual themed wedding with Halloween decorations and costumes. Instead they wanted their day to feel traditional but in black instead of white, "I like to think it was quite the creepy yet classy affair", said the bride. For the colours, they went with a ghostly grey and magical magenta except for their outfits which were all-black.

Julie and Peter's October 31st wedding was held at a park, local to their home. They used the park's nature centre (which is actually where they first met. The the bride was was giving a talk about the black market wildlife trade in Southeast Asia) to host their food and drinks, but the majority of the day was outside. Their wedding date was also four years to the day of their first official date.

The timeline of their day was in reverse, and although this wasn't what they initially wanted, it was a happy accident and in the end they were really pleased that they did it this way. Plus, it meant Kate was able to justify two wedding dresses!

When it came to choosing a venue for their October wedding, there was only one place in contention - Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow. “The venue really set the tone for our wedding,” Becky explained. “It’s a stunning old church in the West End of Glasgow, which is now a restaurant and theatre. I was the last baby to be christened there when it was a church so to us if felt like a no brainer that that is where we should get married.” It’s beautiful gothic setting with medieval vibes suited the couple - as lovers of autumn, they wanted an October wedding to make the most of the beautiful crisp nights that Glasgow has to offer and their children are Halloween obsessed, so they let all the kids change into fancy dress for the reception.

Elizabeth and Nicholas embraced their wedding being just days after Halloween, on November 3rd, by leaning into a spooky theme. They had a super intimate ceremony with just 10 guests on the stairs of the Dane Estate just outside of Boston, followed by a reception with under 100 guests, Elizabeth wore her mother's wedding gown which her mum altered into a tea length dress that was more her style. Her veil was even made from left over lace from the original dress.

Renee and Richie love candles but aren't big fans of flowers, so they decided to not have any at their November wedding. Instead they incorporated fog machines, smoke bombs and candles to create a spooky ambience on the day. The bridesmaids carried incense burners, and as the couple walked up the aisle to be wed, they lit candles held by their guests to guide them. They were also heavily inspired tarot cards, incorporating them in the invitations, signs and centrepieces at the reception.
