Karen and Dean were married in the ruins of Ettington Park's chapel in October. Their day had a gothic theme which was reflected in the bride's choice of black wedding dress (made by The Couture Company), their Black Cherry Cake Company cake and all the decorations. They used skeletons, trailing ivy, dramatic candelabras with black candles and purple and black flowers.Read more...

Inspired by punk rock, Day of the Dead and Culture Clash, Amy and Niall planned their August wedding on a £5000 budget. They included nods to their Scottish and Italian/Indian heritages as well as elements that defined them as a couple such as serving a fully vegetarian menu. Catherine met Thomas at an alternative music festival called DV8 in York. Like something out of a fairy tale, Thomas, who's band were playing, spotted Catherine across a crowded room while he was playing from the stage. After his set he went over to talk to her. Andrea and Gabbi met in a job interview (Gabbi interviewed Andrea for a position on the film Shrek!), while living in San Francisco. They fell in love and were married in Sayulita, Mexico in May 2004. In fact they loved it so much they have now lived there for over 11 years! They decided to renew their vows on their 13th wedding anniversary and wanted the celebration to have a dark, gothic, funeral theme. Sorcha and John met when the bride was doing doing drinks promotions at a rock and metal bar in Dublin. "I noticed this 6 ft 7 gothic man with long black hair", she said. "He was hard to miss!
