Courtney and Nick wanted a day that didn't break the bank. They managed to keep the costs down by shopping in charity shops, accepting help from family and friends and DIYing a lot! They put the flowers together themselves, had a playlist instead of a band or DJ and made their own stationery. Both of their outfits were "lucky finds on the internet". The designers didn't matter to them, only that they liked what they wore. The bridesmaids had dresses from eBay.

Ben and Roo wanted their big day to feel like 'them'. So they enlisted the help of friends and family to hand craft the wedding of their dreams! "Our theme was 'nature meets colorful meets elegant meets comfortable!" began the bride. "I was a circus performer for ten years and Ben has been a rigger for his whole professional life. Our friends are eclectic and multi-skilled and they all pitched in. It made a blank slate of a venue become a colorful tapestry of strings of circus lights, people on stilts, colorful guests, chandeliers hanging from trees and an amazing electro-swing dance party!"

Danny and Maya were married at Cedar Bend Events, just 25 minutes outside of Austin. They chose their venue because they wanted an outdoor wedding and this place was beautiful! "We both really wanted the wedding to be outdoors and to embody the relaxing feel of a backyard barbecue", wrote the groom. "Our original plan was actually to have a family barbecue style event and handle all of the food/catering as a family, but that proved too difficult logistically, so we opted for a wedding venue that could provide the same relaxed feeling."

On May 3rd, and with just £5000 to spend, Charly and Phil were married at Church of The Good Shepherd in Tadworth. They had their thrifty reception in the church hall next door! The bride wore a Nataya 'Titanic' dress and carried a homemade crochet bouquet. They saved cash by DIYing pretty much everything, from the flowers to the cake to the catering! Their entertainment was a two piece jazz band, made up of friends.
