Shoshanna and Zak's brightly coloured, boozy, big kid wedding took place in Brighton in March. They set a budget of £4000 but actually managed to spend a bit less than that. Their reception venue was free! "Our reception was at OhSo Social on Brighton beach and it was FREE! We paid them £1500 for food and drink but they then deducted what we actually spend and gave us the rest back - amazing saving!"

Fee and Steve's fabulously colourful, budget friendly wedding took place at Hemingford Abbots Village Hall in Cambridgeshire. "We wanted a fun day that we were both involved in", Fee explained. "We didn't wait it to just be about the bride, but both of us equally. Lots of colour was involved, and guests were requested to leave office attire at home! We both wanted to have a day that was about us, so we ensured that we included as much about us as possible. Early on in the planning we trawled wedding blogs, but mainly just looked at Rock n Roll Bride as we found that is was the only blog that included low budget weddings, and weddings that encompassed different themes."

Old Timely, 1920s Inspired Lawn Party

Vasilia and Joe's wedding had an old timely feel. It was held in a friend's back garden and all their guests dressed in their 1920s inspired finest! "Before we started planning, we sat down for an hour or so and each quietly broke out our thoughts for every aspect of our vision", said the bride. "We quickly realised that we had very similar, if not the same thoughts on almost everything. I can’t say that anything in particular inspired us other than our desire to make a unique experience for our guests that showcased our personality and taste, without the regular formality and stuffiness of a wedding."
