Mary and Caio lived next door to each other for twelve years before they had their first date! For their wedding they brought together everything they love; art, music, friends, family, décor and vintage. They had an art gallery of Mary's paintings, an old Volkswagen in the fields, five bands (which had the groom playing in all of them!), friends leading their ceremony, craft beer, décor items from their house... and they partied for nine hours straight!

a-Stone Wedding & Lifestyle

Sandra and Hendrik were together for 12 years before they were married. They met in August 2004 at a funfair and distinctly remember the smell of popcorn filling the air. They wanted to recreate their first meeting at their wedding, so decided it should be funfair themed. They also wanted their wedding day to be a celebration with their loved ones while listening to great music and, of course, with the smell of popcorn in the air again.

Amber and Chris were married in October and took inspiration for their wedding from Amber's vintage skull engagement ring. Milica and Aleksandar met in a youth hostel in Belgrade, Serbia, eight years ago. As they were so far away from home they couldn't have many guests and instead celebrated with a small group of very close friends. But this also meant they had no big expenses and spent less than $500! They are planning another wedding for next year when they are back in Serbia, so they can celebrate with all their families and friends.

Pip and Alex have always loved Halloween. Their little girl (who they call 'mouse') was even born on Halloween! They were married on 14th November and wanted their wedding to be a nod to their favourite time of year. They also wanted it to be non-traditional, and their theme was a cross between Morticia Addams and Cher! They saved for their wedding for over two years and bought what they could, when they could buy it.

Sally and James' first meeting was unusual to say the least! "James sent a text to an old work colleague seeing if he fancied a catch up", said Sally. "Unbeknown to James his friend had recently got a new phone and no longer had that number. 250 miles away, in Hull, I had just got a new phone and the network provider had reused the number. I received a random text asking to meet up and I jokingly replied! 11 years, 3 kids and a mortgage later we finally got married! Coincidence or fate!?"
