Elizabeth and Nicholas embraced their wedding being just days after Halloween, on November 3rd, by leaning into a spooky theme. They had a super intimate ceremony with just 10 guests on the stairs of the Dane Estate just outside of Boston, followed by a reception with under 100 guests, Elizabeth wore her mother's wedding gown which her mum altered into a tea length dress that was more her style. Her veil was even made from left over lace from the original dress.

Akilah was adamant she didn't want a themed day ("even the word theme perturbs us a little!" she said) but she and Richard were naturally drawn to things that worked together, which was only solidified when they found their venue, The Barn at Bury Court in Farnham. Jonali wore her mother's wedding from from 1989 (with a few minor alterations) when she married Michael in September last year. She wanted to play homage to her mother while still making her look her own so she had the sleeves and a bow on the butt (so 80s!) removed which she then used to wrap around her handmade brooch bouquet. Other than that, their main inspo for the day was their venue, Hammond Castle, and wanting to have a dark, 'til death' vibe.

Lottie and Scott's February wedding was all about the homemade touches. In fact almost everything was DIY including the bride's dress (made by her mum from a 50s pattern), the rainbow cake and the bouquets which were made up of faux flowers bought from Dunelm. As well as their obvious love of colour, the other thing they wanted their wedding to reflect was their love for their family and friends.

Living and working in London but both originally from up north, Fiona and Jack, who met when they both auditioned for the same band at uni (the band is still going and they have been making and releasing music together for their entire relationship!) planned a retro inspired wedding in Whitby. It's a place they have spent a lot of time in with family over the years so it was a very sentimental place for them to tie the knot. The autumn day started with a ceremony at Whitby registry office before a walk down to the seafront to play on to 2p arcade games and have their photos taken. The reception was then held at a recently reopened old church centre which they decorated and made their own.

The theme for their wedding was simple, relaxed and outdoorsy - choosing a friend's back garden as their reception location.

Trinity Buoy Wharf has one of the best views in London which suited Rebecca and Dave's red, white and blue themed wedding to a tee. The couple didn't want the day to be too 'matchy-matchy', but they did was cohesive elements to run throughout. The bride wore a stunning red Pronovias dress (from their evening gown range, so less than a quarter of the price of their wedding gowns!), the bridesmaid wore white and Dave and his groomsmen were in blue suits.

t's no secret that we LOVE a colourful wedding here at Rock n Roll Bride, so Jess and Rob's day, which took place in July 2019, was right up our street! They were married in Lancashire at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe, an old textile mill and has the longest bar in Britain! As the bride studied fashion at university and the groom loves beer, it seemed like the perfect spot. "We literally had a piss up in a brewery!" Jess laughed.
