Amy and Patrick had a very short engagement; they decided in April that they would get married in September! They wanted their wedding to reflect who they are, to be at a beautiful venue, and have amazing food and great music. It was also important to them that it was a relaxed, casual day that included all their guests. They decided to source and plan it all themselves, to make it truly reflect 'them', which also meant they could tweak things and push more money into the 'guest experience'.

Aimee and David had a fun, colourful and playful wedding in October. They wanted their day to be as fun as possible for their guests, and to reflect their personalities. “We did what we wanted and didn't feel pressured to do things because it's deemed 'traditional'", explained Aimee. "I didn't want bridesmaids. I have loads of amazing friends but I just didn't feel the need, and I didn't want their partners to feel left alone and awkward on the day, plus it saved money. I don't regret my decision at all.”

Gabs and Cory were married in a country church, followed by a reception in an aircraft hangar! Their wedding theme was ‘anything goes’ as they wanted it to be colourful, and they decorated everywhere with flowers and ribbons. They also planned the whole thing in only five months!

Emma and Adam got married in Bedford in May. Their wedding theme was colour, sugar skulls and Famous Stars & Straps (a clothing brand started by Travis Barker of Blink 182). The most important aspect for them was everything being colourful, which included the bride's dress from The Couture Company. It had personalised embroidery on the back: two skulls, one with purple hair (for Emma) and the other with an ‘F’ embroidered onto the skull (for Adam). The bride also DIY’d her own button bouquets and buttonholes (made a year in advance!), with the help of her mum. They used multi-coloured buttons and pom poms.

So when she and Harrison started planning their wedding, she thought it would be an amazing place to have the ceremony. Allison and Cameron's colourful wedding took place in Austin in October. They wanted a simple, low-pressure day, with minimal stress. "Cameron and I honestly never wanted a wedding", said the bride. "I get anxiety when I throw an event, and I am always worried if everyone else is having a good time that I forget to have a good time myself. However, since our mothers would never forgive us if we didn’t have one, we decided to do it our way. We wanted something low-stress and intimate, where we could mingle with all the guests and have a great time."

Lauren and Ray's September wedding had a colourful carnival theme! "Our wedding was a rainbow carnival", explained the bride. "We wanted to bring out the happy, colourful kid in everyone that was there. Ray also wanted a BIG party. Some of our most fun details were the stuffed animals that we bought to give away as prizes. There was also a fire-breather and an aerialist. Part of our 'entertainment' was both of us (and the wedding party!) getting dunked by friends and family in an actual dunk tank to raise money for the honeymoon!"

Marina and Moshe's October wedding was held at Socca Tel Aviv. The day had a colourful, Mexican theme in an urban setting. "The wedding was held in a loft in an industrial area of Tel Aviv", said the bride. "We decorated with vintage furniture that reminded us of the flea market area where we live. The decorations were inspired by a Mexican fiesta where the whole street is covered in colours and the women put flowers in their hair."
