January 5, 2014

Becca and Chris were married at Larmer Tree Gardens on the Dorset/ Wiltshire border. They wanted their day to be small and stress-free so they only had nine guests. "We didn't have a theme for our wedding, we just picked things we loved, without thinking too carefully about whether they would match," began the bride. "That's why I wore an art deco dress, the car was from the 1950s and our entertainment was a Mariachi band mash-up! The main thing was that we wanted our love of travel to come across, so we had a lot of map bunting, colour, and a global influence to our food and music."

January 3, 2014

Elizabeth and Juan wanted their December wedding to be just like a High School Prom. "Our wedding theme helped everyone get in to the Prom spirit, attendees dressed in prom attire, and we went absolutely crazy with balloons", began the bride. "Our wedding party was such a mixed, motley crowd. We wanted everyone to have fun and use their own style for their outfits. We wanted to run screaming from the traditional thing and my's dream came true with my perfect pink dress. Our officiant even wore a purple prom dress!"

December 27, 2013

Savannah & Eliot's super cool, Nashville wedding was held at The Crying Wolf bar. They were married outside in the car park, which ended up being a surprisingly beautiful setting, and the reception was inside. With the venue already being so awesome and decorated in such a quirky way, the couple didn't need to add too much, but they included a few things they love like animal skulls and various pieces distressed wood from the bride's mother's farm. Savannah also designed and made all the stationery, the flowers were bought from a flower market and the cakes were made by friends. The venue did the food and drinks and they had a friend DJ the party.

They met online and with a mutual love of all things nerdy (their first date was eating cheese toasties and watching Dark Crystal) they connected instantly. They were married in August at Sole Street House in Kent. "Our theme evolved into a relaxed, geeky garden party", wrote Kirsty. "Vintage touches and having the full day to relax into the venue meant that it felt very natural and laid-back. We picked a colour theme of teal and asked all of our guests to wear something to match. As time went on, it became green and blue in all of the shades but it meant that we could relax about a 'theme' and still have everything come together."

October 31, 2013

Megan and Tom had a chilled out, backyard BBQ wedding held at a friend's house. "We wanted the whole experience to be a representation of ourselves and our relationship", Megan wrote. "While we wanted everything to look beautiful, we didn't want it to be perfect or overdone. I went shopping in thrift stores for all kinds of mismatched vases that would compliment each other. At the end of the night. guests were allowed to take all of the assortments home with them."
