Amy and Patrick had a very short engagement; they decided in April that they would get married in September! They wanted their wedding to reflect who they are, to be at a beautiful venue, and have amazing food and great music. It was also important to them that it was a relaxed, casual day that included all their guests. They decided to source and plan it all themselves, to make it truly reflect 'them', which also meant they could tweak things and push more money into the 'guest experience'.

Brooke and Reece first met in high school and were married in Australia in September. The main inspiration for the wedding was their venue; The Provincial Hotel in Fitzroy. It had the laid back feel they were after and had lots of rustic charm. Their theme was mash up of rustic, handmade details and the Great Gatsby. They decided to not have a first dance, cut the cake or throw the bouquet as they didn’t want a scheduled wedding with time frames and things to remember, they just wanted to party!

Annie and Paul met when the bride first visited the UK. She was in Sheffield with a friend and they met at the pub that he was working in. When they came to get married, they wanted to have two celebrations in their respective countries. This first one took place on a beach in Sydney in March (their UK wedding will be in a future issue of Rock n Roll Bride magazine so watch this space!)

Jane and Joel's wedding was held at Melbourne Zoo. Their ceremony was in the Japanese Garden and their reception in the Rainforest Room! "We wanted our wedding to be fun, colourful and summery", said Jane. "I’ve always loved the glamour of the 1950s-era so our outfits were based on the fashion from that time. We went for a retro carnival theme to fit our venue. The colours were based on the bridesmaid dresses which were light green, coral, red and blue. It was the perfect retro summer palette."
