Wow that's a lot of words beginning with R right there. I am so very VERY excited about this project though so all that alliteration is worth it to share the news! Revamp, Restyle, Reveal is an interiors challenge which I was asked to take part in by interior designer Lisa Dawson (I mentioned her in my favourite interiors Instagram accounts a few months ago, isn't it funny how these things always come full circle!?) and blogger extraordinaire Bianca Hall of French for Pineapple. The concept is simple: 10 bloggers, 9 brands, 1 room, 4 weeks. I can all but guarantee you won't have seen a wedding quite like this one before! Sijin and Paul had a big budget, seriously creative wedding complete with the bride arriving on horseback! They were legally married on August 17th at Lambeth Town Hall in London (not pictured). Following this they had their main celebration at Bran Castle in Brasov, Romania!Read more...

In four days Gareth and I will celebrate our TEN YEAR wedding anniversary. I can't quite believe it! A DECADE. With such a momentous milestone coming up, last year I started to think about ways we could celebrate. While moving over the summer, I pulled my wedding dress out of the back of my wardrobe to bring it over to the new house and I realised, bar a few photo shoots at the start of my blogging career (anyone remember these?!) it's pretty much sat there, collecting dust and getting all moth-eaten, since then. It's actually kinda sad when you think about it. You spend such a happy, important day in this dress and then it's either sold on, trashed or, like mine, relegated to the back of a closet.Read more...

One of the thing I'm most proud of with Rock n Roll Bride is our position to encourage brides to do whatever they want for their wedding. My best babe Sophie sure is clever. Roxy and Sam only had £6000 to spend on their summer wedding, but as the lucky winners of a competition hosted on this very blog, they were able to get a wedding planner who actually helped save them even more money! Sophie and Stephen were married at The Byre at Inchyra, a beautifully restored, rustic barn set in 150 acres of private parkland in Perthshire, Scotland. Hi friends! Goodness, it's been a long time since I've had a house post for you hasn't it? I have to admit that I think I was a tad ambitious thinking I'd be able to update you weekly on our renovation. I've mentioned this before, but things have progressed really slowly (aka they haven't progressed at all!) over the winter months. The motivation to tackle big projects has been seriously lacking but now that spring is finally here (allegedly!) we are PSYCHED to get back on that reno-train. One of my favourite things is connecting with you guys on social media and something I hear over and over in our private Facebook group (where we're about to hit 13,000 members, whhhhaaaat!?) is that there's a huge lack of non-sucky, non-cheesy, non-eye-roll-inducing bridal t-shirts available. T-shirts that you can wear on your hen do, to wedding shows, getting ready the morning of the big day itself... or maybe even post-wedding to celebrate your new wifed status. So I did some research, and while occasionally a high street or online store will bring out a wedding tee, if it doesn't 100% blow (do NOT get me started on the whole 'shedding for the wedding' thing!) it will usually sell out faster than you can add it to your cart and checkout. There's a short version that I reel off without a second thought, but after reading this post by my friends at Bespoke Bride I was inspired to put digital pen to digital paper and write about it in much more detail. Sarah and Simon, both artists, wanted their wedding to be completely and utterly them. They chose to elope, with just three witnesses in attendance in a private cabin in the beautiful blue mountains outside Sydney. After the ceremony they made vegan lasagne for everyone.
