Good morning sunshine! Blimey it's a scorcher here in England today...I am sweating away as I blog (nice!) Let's get this party started shall we? Julia & Neil got married a year ago but were never happy with their wedding photographs. They enlisted the help of a dream team of photographer Laurie Levenfield, make up artist Stacy McClure and hair stylist Maria O'Rilley to finally give them the photographs they wanted on their one year anniversary...and oh did they! From the train station, to the graffiti wall and the beach to Chinatown - this whole shoot is pure San Fran cool.Read more...

OK so I'm pretty much giddy with excitement over sharing this Las Vegas engagement session and wedding sent to me by photographer Holly Jones. Chronologically it makes sense to start with the engagements right? I am c-c-c-crazy about Teneisha's pink dress and yellow shoe combo and of course the Neon Graveyard makes for a completely awesome backdrop. EEEK I can't wait to show you the wedding later - she has the most gorgeous green, polka-dotted dress!Read more...

Body art & modification guru Russ Foxx married his sweetheart Brionna in a tattoo laden, intimate beach ceremony on the 19th of June. These are too schweeeet! Special thanks to reader Shaughnessy Keely for sending me these. If you have seen any weddings your think I need to share, please feel free to send them my way! A scholoristic wedding with a Best Girl rocking it in a top hat is something to be shared. Sharon & Dan definitely went all out to make sure their wedding was truly original, even so far has having the one of a kind 1925 Studebakeras their wedding transport. They also had a theologian conduct their ceremony which was written with the work of Lord Byron, William Morris and Walt Whitma in mind. If you want to know more about this highly intellectual wedding, check out the Groom's Blog! Credit: Studio JRead more...

I have something to say and it may be shocking to some of you...I don't 'get' Martha Stewart...what is they fascination? I'm just as crafty as the next geek but something about her repulses me just a little bit. Maybe it's because the first time I ever heard of her was when she went to jail (I'm in the UK, not Mars by the way) or because whenever I catch her on Wedding TV (yes I am that sad...) I feel inclined to run away. I mean, she's not very rock n roll is she? However, I just saw this wedding on her ridiculously kitch (although it pains me to know it's not even in an ironic way) wedding website, and despite the source this wedding is so uber gorgeous that I have to share the love. John & Lily married in Lily's parent's back garden which had great sentimental value for the couple. Lily's beautiful bouquet was made of bridal garden roses, dahlias, orchids, lily of the valley, jasmine, sweetpeas, and scented geranium, all tied together with a cute blue ribbon. She also ordered some custom Liberty fabric clutches for her Bridesmaids, each designed to fit the individual girl's personality. Clicky here for more images and info, and let me know - am I the only wedding obsessive that doesn't love the Stewart?Read more...

When Leslie & Steve got married they decided to all kick it with their Converse trainers (that's Chucks to you guys in the States), even the Bride got in on the action, rocking her green trainers under her beyond awesome polka dot dress (I am still waiting to find out where she got it from, don't worry I will let you know when I do!) The theme was glorious green which really brightened up an otherwise cold winter wedding.Read more...

Photographers Craig & Chanelle Segerius-Bruce met Andy & Kim way back in 2007 in South Africa, when they (the photographers) were on their own honeymoon. The wedding took place at Parley Manor in Dorset and Kim wore a Benjamin Roberts dress. My favourite of all these images, has to be the Jeff Newsom-inspired swirly light shot..mean, moody and very very cool. I am doing a photo shoot with Chanelle soon..I am very excited about it as the concept we have come up with is quite different to what you might be seeing everywhere else right now...hint: I'm getting all crafty with black tulle!Read more...

If Ginny & Ed's vintage wedding isn't featured on every wedding blog out there I will eat my..well, hat. Does photographer Josh Goleman get the best clients or what?! Remember these guys for example? Yep...amazing! Although my automatic reaction is usually to be against the idea of asking guests to dress as per the theme of your wedding, I have to admit the effect of everyone vintaged-up together is phenomonal to say the least. I am literally dying of excitement to share these!Read more...

With a rock star Groom like Jeremy would you expect anything less than a wedding like this? The couple choose an awesome venue and had live music a go go! They walked down the aisle to Led Zeppelin and had friends playing an acoustic set during their ‘cocktail lounge’. The speeches sound like they were somewhat epic, with Alison’s brother even getting everyone shout “For those about to rock, we salute you" at the end of his toast! Jeremy’s parents rapped during their speech and Alison’s dad sang for his. For favours the couple made a ‘Rock Star Survival Kit’ including a custom guitar pick, a shot glass and bubble gum. The couple also got their wedding rings engraved with the words ‘you rock’ on his, and ‘you rule’ on hers (made by The Devil’s Workshop)…definitely not the usual soppy stuff! Alison’s dress was by Alfred Angelo, her hair piece by Etsy seller, GG Designs and her gorgeous bouquet & Jeremy’s boutonniere were made by Princess Lasertron.Read more...

I think this wedding is quite different to the style I usually favour, but I still love it! The hat reminds me of going to English weddings where all the ladies wear big adornments on their heads. Photographer Courtney, described this day to me: Megan and Norm were married on May 30, 2009 at Willow Park in Louisville, Ky. That had no attendants, except for their "ring dog" Misha. Megan didn't opt for traditional hand-held bouquet instead chose to compliment her outfit with a huge, gorgeous hat. The Bride and Groom opted to accent their wedding with fleur-de-lis, a symbol of Louisville. While the guests noshed away on vegetarian friendly fare, trashcans were adorned with signs informing everyone that all the serving ware was fully biodegradable. The music before the ceremony and during the ceremony was provided by local musician friends, and the guests danced during the reception to the musical stylings of a ragtime band, Rascals of Ragtyme.Read more...

After posting Dana (of The Broke Ass Bride fame) & Hunter's awesome 'Fresh Hubby of LA' wedding video I thought I was done. I saw their phenomenal photographs by Dan of Chennergy (who shot their wedding for free!) but decided to not share them straight away as I assumed photography as fantastic as this would pop up on all the wedding blogs. However it seems that maybe everybody else had the same idea as me, and while I've seen their video everywhere I look their photographs seem to have fallen to the wayside maybe just a little bit. That, my friends, is a travesty of utmost proportions. These must be seen and adored. Enjoy! Credit: Chennergy curtosy of The Broke Ass BrideRead more...

I love Japan rather a lot (have you noticed that about me!?) I love the fashion, the food, the people...the Hello Kitty - everything. In fact I think there is nothing about Japan I don't like, and Tokyo is by far the most amazing city I have ever been to. So when I clapped eyes on Sandra & Richard's engagements by the fabulous Tealily Photography I had no doubt in my mind that a feature would be getting underway. Photographer Trish described their shoot: Joel and I waited at the old green carriage and the statue of the dog which seemed to be a very popular thing to do amongst the human sea of trendy Japanese and slighty overwhelmed tourists. I had only conversed with Sandra via email to that date and suddenly realised I had no idea who I was looking for until I spotted a couple of sweet faces pull through the crowd. We had decided to catch up for dinner since Joel and I were passing through Tokyo and decided to try and fit in a few shots before the light disappeared for the night. We weren't quite sure where to head for these photos in the crazy streets of Tokyo, but Sandra had decided to triple up this date as a bit of sightseeing for us and lead the way. One of the many things I love about Tokyo is how diverse the city is. One minute your under the bright lights of the Shibuya crossing, then you turn a corner and your right in front of an ancient shrine. I would live there in a heartbeat. Thank for the reminiscing Trish & Joel!Read more...

Tina & Derek's engagements in a burnt out house are so. damn. cool! I am loving the fireplace, the awesome chair and the feather. These have such an intense beauty to them...much love! Photographer Jen Arthur also shot some post wedding portraits as the couple eloped so didn't have pro wedding photographs, which I can't wait to see too.Read more...

Sara & Matthew have sent me their wedding along with 150 of their favourite images from the day – and nope you didn’t read that wrong! While this may be slightly over the top I have to say it is indeed a rather fabulous wedding The couple had their ceremony at an old brick house under a huge tree with a few leaves missing where they hung bird cages to tie in their bird theme. They had their portraits at Princeton University and then headed to their reception at a Brewery and instead of the usual champagne reception, the couple served samples of local beer! Sara’s dress was Selena by Maggie Sottero and her Bridesmaids were by Niteline. The Bride embarked on a DIY frenzy making the ring bearer pillows, the table numbers, the aisle decor along with the tree and the flower centrepieces themselves – phew!Read more...

Jessie & Cat clearly love tattoos and even got matching skull & crossbones tats with the words 'Til Death' across their hearts - sweet! I am crazy in love with the baby Converse trainers used as a cake topper too, what a fabulous idea that is. Thanks to Molly for these - I will be sharing more of her weddings soon!Read more...

Kat Braman sent me this gorgeous engagement session/trip down memory lane. The shoot took place at various locations, culminating at the high school where they met - sweet! High Schools may not be the happiest time of everyones life, or the most glamorous locations ever, but this couple seem blissfully happy and Kat has made the old skool (did I actually just write that!?) location looks much cooler than any high end-swanky fashion shoot location ever could. Kudos lady!Read more...

Alysha & Javi are one of those couples that just sound so rock n roll that I wouldn't expect anything less then a wedding just like this one. What is so great though is that despite the rock n roll persona, this wedding still has so many gorgeous and super personal touches. The car that took them to their wedding was actually the car they had their first date in and all the flowers were based on the same arrangements the Bride's Grandmother had at her wedding. The Bridesmaids look awesome in their sexy black jumpers and pencil skirt combo and the Bride looks seriously amazing..and her shoes..oh the shoes! They are by Betsey Johnson and are just gorgeous! Thanks to photographer Shannon for sending me these. I will catch you all tomorrow (or on Twitter later, I am crazy addicted!), have you entered the contest yet? There is always space for you!Read more...

I am slightly reluctant to say this is one of my favourite, rustic, outdoorsy, shabby chic weddings ever as I seem to be saying things like that a lot..but I kinda can't help it. I adore every single details about this wedding, from the cute (almost kitch!) Mr&Mrs balloons to the Bride's stunning dress and shoes (shoes from Nordstrom, details on the dress to come once the couple get back from Honeymoon!) These will be popular with you all I'm sure of it. Sarah Yates you rocked this photography, thanks so much for all the sharing!Read more...
