I am not the most patient of people and when photographer David McNeil told me about Caroline & Callum's upcoming wedding at the beginning of this year I was already dying to see the results. The couple not only found David through Rock n Roll Bride but Caroline proceeded to tease me with regular email updates on their wedding planning gorgeousness - from her amazing David Fielden dress to her perfect Vivienne Westwood shoes (I loved them so much I even attempted to make my own Rock n Roll Bride version!)

Find your photographer through Rock n Roll Bride then it's pretty much a given that I'm going to totally love your wedding and wedding photography! That's exactly what Carolyn & Marc did and yep, I was right - stunning! The couple got married right in the centre of London - 'The City' as it's known. I love this part of town. My Dad works around here so I have fond memories of visiting him at his office when I was younger, marvelling at the huge and modern nature of landmarks like The Gherkin and The Lloyds Building vs. the ornate detail of the indoor Leadenhall Market (where Carolyn & Marc had their reception.) I remember my Dad once taking me into on of the bars in this area which to a 15 year old kid was very exciting! Kelty of Steep Street (who I have a total girl crush on by the way) send these to me and Eeeek! aren't they stunning? So I received a link to this amazing lifestyle style engagement session last week and I have been waiting with baited breath all week to share them with you! I love the concept. Katrina & Derek Irish Pub wedding took place in Boston on the 8th of August. For me, this wedding is amazing because of all the personal touches and details - from the cyclops cake topper to Katrina's awesome monochrome Banana Republic multi-layered dress and the DIY 'flowers' set in empty beer bottles, this wedding is definitely one worthy of Rock n Roll status! I should be in bed (for those of your following me on Twitter you will have no doubt seen the regular updates about my flu!) but I have a compulsion to blog that can not be stopped... Lisa Rigby shot this outdoor wedding last week and I can't get enough of the lovely pastel shades. I'm not normally one for subtlety (hello? my hair is pink) but the soft hues of her blue Stephanie James Couture dress coupled with her stunning bouquet and birdcage veil are undeniably gorgeous. I am crazy in love with Tanya & Mark's amazingly colourful DIY wedding! The event took place in Tanya's parent's backyard in Northampton, PA and totally reflected the couple's quirky, colourful, kitschy nature. They really put 100% of themselves into the day. Tanya made the invitations, the felt flowers, the centrepieces and most of the decorations herself and all of the tables were covered with unique vintage fabric sourced from various places throughout the wedding planning. One of my favourite details had got to be the pink flamingos everywhere though! Tanya says she has a slight obsession with John Waters so this detail was a must! Tanya found her and her Bridesmaid's dress from Ebay and her amazing red birdcage veil from Events and Occasions. Her shoes were from Modcloth and her red petticoat was found at Unique Vintage. A few months ago, photographer Jennifer Williams' sister found this gorgeous vintage dress in a thrift store for $10. Being the helpful sibling that she is, she knew it would be perfect for a photoshoot and so bought it right away. Jen wnt on to tell me the whole story: The minute I saw it I couldn't wait to plan a shoot centered around it! I couldn't get those old images of Bonnie and Clyde out of my head from the old 1967 movie. Most of my inspiration was centered around that, although I mixed and matched decades into my own take on vintage fashion. Then I found out we had permission to shoot at this salvage yard and the shoot became this beautiful classy take on grunge. As weird as it sounds, that is the best way I can describe it. Chad & Erin of Fuller Edge always choose the most awesome locations for their shoots. With Angel & Craig, who rocked their wedding with skull cufflinks, converse trainers, a pink wedding dress and adorable pink and green details (clicky here for the full set), Chad & Erin took them to a junkyard for these fab shots. I really need to be lying down with some honey and lemon and watching trash on tv as I'm sick...grr I don't do well when I get ill - boredom is not my Forté. I just had to drop by and share a few little images from this Russian engagement session entitled 'Sunset Love Story.' Totally beautiful huh? It's hard to choose, but I think the 'red heart lollypop' one has got to be my favourite. Too gorgeous! The photographer, Mukhina Ekaterina, will actually be touring the states in October/November of this year and would love to meet and photograph some rock n roll couples. So I saw this wedding on I Love Lolliblog the other day and was instantly smitten. Then when photographer Christine Chang submitted the wedding to me as well I thought 'what the hell' and have decided to break my self-imposed rule of not re-blogging. This wedding is too damn special and too damn rock n roll to pass up! The gorgeous Bride Kristi, who owns her own jewellery company named Diamond Willow designed and DIYed the whole wedding - from the centrepieces to her stunning peacock bouquet, the boutonnieres and her own flower hairpiece. She wore a sample gown designed by Lian Carlo and her Mum altered the neckline and made the train detachable for dancing. The Bridesmaids have got to be some of the most gorgeous I have ever seen, rocking their Betsey Johnson frocks, white platform shoes, babies breath bouquets and personalised 'knuckleduster' rings designed by Kristi herself. New York Lovers ♥ The Winners

After giving myself an impromptu day away from my computer yesterday I have come back to a plethora of emails full to bursting with weddingy gorgeousness. I can not wait to get blogging it all! I'd better start the day with the most important announcement however..the winners of the Todd Ritondaro New York Love film contest. I have been overwhelmed with votes - over 2400 of you took the time to read the couple's stories and vote for your favourite - yey! It got pretty close at times but I am very excited to let you all know that the winners are.... Kate & Dan! Woooo! Well done guys - you will be meeting up with the lovely Todd sometime next month to film your love story! Chris & Todd had two reasons to celebrate on their wedding day as Chris was 7 1/2 months pregnant! Her gorgeous dress and bolero were custom made by Elizabeth Dye and complimented her baby bump beautifully. I hope I look this radiant if I ever have kids. The couple incorporated everything they love into the day, as photographer Heather Hawksford described it - 'canoeing, horseshoe, croquet, Pete Krebs Trio, The Dickle Brothers, cowboys & rockstars chatting over homemade beer' Sounds perfect huh? New Yorker David M had the oppotunity to shoot a gorgeous Polish couple on his home turf. He explains: My dear friend Adam Ludwik has spent over a month visiting America for the first time. He is one of Poland's best wedding photographers. You can see his work at his website and blog. Right before he left to photograph another lucky couple on Polish ground I had a chance to shoot his clients Agata and Alfonso right here - in our old good New York. We have visited a few very familiar locations and tried to put a new spin on them.
