Suzy & Gerard actually got married in 2005 but still wanted a day (years!?) after shoot with the amazingly talented Megan Welker- well who wouldn't! They almost had a disaster with the dress however as after Suzy got it back from the cleaners she discovered they had taken out all of the puckers making those stunning billowy pleats,OMG cricis!! Luckilythey knew a fabulous seamstress who painstakingly put them all back in for the shoot. It almost never happened and that would have been a travesty! Thanks to Megan for allowing me to share. I apologise for my slight absence yesterday, I had a super busy day planning new ventures (eeek exciting!). I hope all my American readers had a fabulous Labor Day weekend but it has been rather lonely in Blog-land this past few days and I am glad you are all back! Let's get this show on the road shall we - as always, way too much gorgeousness to share today! Amber & Kwame has a stunningly simple and personal backyard wedding in Sidney just outside of Victoria BC. Their day was not about the bouquet and rings, but a calebration of their love and a big old reunion for all their friends and family. Thanks to Helene for these beautiful images - so much happiness! Aww pretty pretty sparkle dress! Faith sure looks rock n roll glam on her wedding day back in April! It's not only the dress that I love - her faux tats are super cute and the peacock feathers instead of a traditional floral bouquet are of course stunning. Her one of a kind, custom dress was designed and made by Marelize from Gingered in South Africa. The gown was based on Jenny Packham's Papillon dress, but being in South Africa getting hold of the origianl proved too difficult so Faith decided to get her own version made. Marelize even spent over 45 hours hand sewing on all the beads on the bodice - wow...Glam rock on! Thanks to Faith for not only sending me her images but for sharing all this fab info - a true Rock n Roll Bride!

Erica & Simon had a Hawaii wedding fit to bursting with gorgeousness. Erica's stunning dress was flown all the way from England (woohoo) for the event and was custom made for her by her sister-in-law. Oh. My. GOD! This hippy chic, picnic stylee wedding with a woodstock vibe is nothing short of phenomenal. Finding amazing hidden gems like this has got to be one of my favourite things to do. I feel as though I have unearthed a complete treasure. Forget everything you think you know about weddings. This celebration makes all that seem futile. Can you imagine being there? Cramming into a tiny tent, siting on your friends laps or on the floor just to see your best friend's get married. She's wearing a stunning vintage gown (which the little girls all clearly adore!) and he's wearing a fabulouslyretro velvet suit. And the car...and the swing...and the random panda head...oooh oooh oooooh! I want to go and run around a field like a child and celebrate the joy of love right now... Credit: Cory Kennedy

There is just something about Ashley & Tyson that I can't get enough of. Ever since I received these images from photographers J+C Photography I haven't been able to keep my eyes off them. The couple chose cars to be the main feature of their shoot. They started with a Ford Fairline but when the classic Chevy pickup pulled in they switched vehicles immediately!

Husband and wife team James & Bev just sent me these stunning Kikaua Point Beach wedding from May this year. I actually spotted some of these images on one of my many hunts for damn cool weddings and in fact begged them to send me the images of Amanda & Rob's big day. Me? play it cool?...certainly not! The couple had a Don Julio Tequila toast right after they said 'I do' (now I don't really know what this is, but I can only imagine it involved Tequila shots after the vows!) and Amanda wore are beautiful traditional Hawaiian dress called a mu'umu'u as her wedding gown and quite frankly looked stunning. Texan born, UK based photographer Tami Curtis has a style like no one else I've seen. The techniques used give each image a distressed feel like they literally are images from the 1920's but with a real avant-garde feel. This style of photography wouldn't be everyone's choice for their wedding album but it's a style I can't help but be drawn to.
